Did You Know: The Best to Do with Hot Leftovers

Did you know that refrigerating hot leftovers is the best way to avoid spoilage and invasion of bacteria, in contrast to what previously claimed?

It was always thought that leftovers, especially the hot ones, should be cooled at room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator. Accordingly, allowing food to cool at a slower rate reduces the likelihood that it will spoil. Another theory suggests that hot food can somehow interfere with the circulation of cold air in the refrigerator.

New Year, New Internet Connection

I had a very tragic internet connection these past few days, thus, no blog updates. I was using PLDT Vibe Dial-up, where I could get a maximum speed of 45.2 Kbps. I was fine with it because my only purpose then in using the internet is browsing – blogging, updating websites, checking e-mails, and posting in some message board. Every time I want to download something, I go to a nearby cafe.

Unfortunately, PLDT Vibe was phased out in our area to make way for Pwede Card! their recent innovation. It is a multi-purpose, reloadable card. It could have been nicer because you only have to purchase one card and reload it. It’s environment-friendly, that is. I thought it was better than PLDT Vibe card, disappointingly, it’s worse! I could not connect. My 30-peso worth card had expired after 3 days and I haven’t even used it! Frustrating.
