Life swap and speed sex

I’m currently reading a novel by one of my favorite authors - Jane Green. Life Swap is about two very different women, both equally successful in their life choices and both equally restless and unfulfilled inspite of it. They swap lives and go on for a month-long roller coaster ride.

The book mentioned speed sex. Apparently, it was what married women’s so called sex lives are about. What with very busy husbands, demands of children, living the life of a dutiful wife and responsible member of the community (planning charity events, playdates etc), there’s just little left for a whole lot of loving come bedtime.
