do you know who Mahoma was??
have you heard old people [which include me and the wife...] say the term “panahon pa ni mahoma” everytime they want to say that something is really really old?? well, i did hear someone say that just very recently, and it got me wondering who this Mahoma was… he clearly was a person, but not any person i’ve heard of eversince i first learned my Philippine histories…
and so, i fired up my browser and went to my favorite search engine, Google, entered mahoma and pressed enter…
Pinoy ka ba?
I accompanied my kids today to a children’s party for my 2 nephews. Like most kids parties nowadays, there was a magician hired to provide entertainment. I did not expect anything different but this one was.
First of all, he wasn’t dressed as a clown nor was he dressed in purple robes with gold stars. Secondly, he did the usual tricks with the handkerchiefs, balloon and doves, but he also did the balloon art himself. One thing that stood out to me was how he was able to educate and at the same time entertain the kids. I actually learned several things today because of him.
story behind a photo
i have always been on the lookout for absurd or amusing signs, and this image shouted out to me…
this should have been pretty funny, what with the way it was presented… but there is a story behind this photo [isn’t there always??]…
this image was taken in a mall in Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong… the wife and i already saw this the last time we were there, but unfortunately, we don’t have a camera with us… we thought it was pretty funny the last time, and still is funny up to now… if not only for the lady guard you see at the right edge of the picture…
will blog for food
thanks to my wife, i have recently acquired the taste for good food and dining, whereas before, i am content on wolfing down any food that looks good to eat, the 7-11 food, or the carinderia fare…
that was why Apples and I put up our own food blog, located at http://www.kubiertos.com/blog, where we blog all of our dining experiences in and out of our home…

pikeo helps you organize and have fun with your pictures. You can tag your pictures place them on maps, create albums and even slideshows with map animations. You can also share your photos with friends and family. More is coming, so don’t hesitate to check our blog for upcoming cool features.
