Did You Know: The Best to Do with Hot Leftovers
Did you know that refrigerating hot leftovers is the best way to avoid spoilage and invasion of bacteria, in contrast to what previously claimed?
It was always thought that leftovers, especially the hot ones, should be cooled at room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator. Accordingly, allowing food to cool at a slower rate reduces the likelihood that it will spoil. Another theory suggests that hot food can somehow interfere with the circulation of cold air in the refrigerator.
New Year, New Internet Connection
I had a very tragic internet connection these past few days, thus, no blog updates. I was using PLDT Vibe Dial-up, where I could get a maximum speed of 45.2 Kbps. I was fine with it because my only purpose then in using the internet is browsing – blogging, updating websites, checking e-mails, and posting in some message board. Every time I want to download something, I go to a nearby cafe.
Unfortunately, PLDT Vibe was phased out in our area to make way for Pwede Card! their recent innovation. It is a multi-purpose, reloadable card. It could have been nicer because you only have to purchase one card and reload it. It’s environment-friendly, that is. I thought it was better than PLDT Vibe card, disappointingly, it’s worse! I could not connect. My 30-peso worth card had expired after 3 days and I haven’t even used it! Frustrating.

In fairness to the injustice league, they are just trying cover-up an ass of their own as Secretary Ermita was saying: “Perez is one of us…”
Okay, that makes Perez another one hell of a Joke!

Skateboarding in the Philippines
Skateboarding has existed since the 1940’s which started out as pieces of soap box cars that later evolved into skateboards. This was then mass produced in the 1960’s and became a new kind of sport. I still remember as a kid in the early 80’s, skateboards were short and narrow made of hard-plastic or fiberglass. I remember once featured on ABC’s Wide World of Sports on RPN 9 on a Sunday after some weekly Chinese TV series, sometimes they would have skateboard contest. Where the most popular competition is the downhill obstacle course. A race between two playes where there are slaloms between traffic cones, running up and down a wooden ramp, and jumping over a bar but keeping the skateboard on the ground and they jump over the bar and land back on the board. GMA may be had all the right that fateful day to shutdown NAIA runways to make way for her jet for security reasons. This is basically the president’s prerogative. However, with the issue of endangering the lives of 230 passengers on an airplane low on fuel is plain and simple mindlessness.
