There’s no excuse for rude behavior
My family woke up very early today (2AM imagine!) to head out to Angeles City to witness the last day of the 2007 Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Clark Airfield.
Sweetie has been excited for days, and nothing was going to get in the way of his opportunity to capture amazing photos of the event.
We arrived at the airfield at just about 5 am. There was already a long line of people at the gates during that time.

I was reading the blog of one my most favorite UP professors, Danilo Arao, when I stumbled upon one of his Youngblood (used to be a regular column in broadsheet PDI) articles from twelve years ago, The Politics of Loving.
The article started off by relaying a true story of two Kabataang Makabayan members in love with each other, but as twisted luck has it, the woman is really a military agent. And we all know that activists and military agents don’t mix well together, right? Poor guy, arrested because his “imagination triumphed over [his] intelligence”, as what Henry Louis Mencken would say. Not conducting a very thorough SI of the girl’s class background? That’s…stupid. But that’s love, I guess. The story is written by Quijano de Manila, Nick Joaquin’s pen name in journalism.

Pre-Valentine Frustration
No, this isn’t an entry about my so-called love life – or lack thereof. The last I’ve blogged about it was when I developed a serious crush with a comrade, then a couple of times after that, until such time that I told him how I feel about him, then a couple more after that. Okay, so I’ve written about it more than a couple of times. Eww! Trust me, I sounded like a lovesick puppy. Definitely not a pleasant experience. Enough. Now I’m writing about my loveless life. =D
Anyway, I know you’re wondering, why the title? Is Shari frustrated because she has no boyfriend? Is she sad that she has no special someone this coming Valentines? Or maybe, if she has a lover, he took his cue from Gail and proposed a No Blog, No Sex policy – only this time, it’s More Blog, No Sex policy?

The pool of players that comprises our badminton team have been playing together for 2 years already. The same people who started out in the team still form the core group today.
And although there are a few who drift in and out, that is what they essentially do.. drift in and then out.
Voltes V Evolution Alienates Original Fans

Launched by anime channel Hero TV (a subsidiary company owned by ABS-CBN), Voltes V Evolution promised to capture the hearts of a younger generation that never got to enjoy this animated classic. Voltes V first aired in the late ’70s right till about the early ’80s; but not even Voltes V’s Laser Sword could stop Marcos from pulling the plug on the show. The people behind Voltes V Evolution cast some of today’s hottest stars to re-dub the character voices, thinking that it would definitely appeal to this new generation of viewers. Being a big Voltes V fan myself, I wasn’t really sure how good this newly re-dubbed series would be; but I gave it chance and watched several episodes, hoping this would pacify this die-hard fan’s inner voice. After a few weeks or so, I was curious to find out what other fans had to say about Voltes V Evolution.
