Yahoo! Mail to offer unlimited storage capacity
As celebration for their 10-year anniversary, Yahoo! Mail will offer unlimited mail storage capacity starting on May 2007 as announced on Tuesday.
The free version of Yahoo! Mail (basic), which is used by majority of users, offers only 1GB of storage and limited features such as the limited 10MB attachments. You need to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail plus to get more features you want including a “virtually unlimited†2GB mail storage capacity and larger attachments.
Yahoo! Mail used to be the “giant†in mail industry but when Google started Gmail, millions have converted to it as their primary e-mail provider. This was due to the larger storage capacity – 2GB – and several other great features.

Children in a bus hostaged
Will idealism kill?
Armando “Jun” Ducat Jr., owner of a day-care center and entrepeneur, hostaged 26 kids and 4 tutors in a bus during a field trip [read the full story]. A magical mystery tour as he packed his UZI, a 45- caliber pistol, and a grenade. What’s ironic was that the hostages didn’t seem to fear Armando. His neighbors supported his cause and even held a short protest rally. What’s the demand?
“Ducat had demanded support for the education of at least 145 school children of the Musmos Daycare and improved housing for them and their families.”
A pathetic cause for a hostage undertaking. However, in a third world country such as the Philippines…[read more]
Why Haven’t I Bagged A Date Yet?
Dude. How lame am I when it comes to the dating game? I mean this guy, Bao Xishun, who is a herdsman in Inner Mongolia, hooks up with ladies all around the world. And he’s not even trying to get their numbers in bars – the ladies actually give it to him. Then the applicants go through a “long selection process” and whoever the heck wins becomes his wife.
American Idol Season 6: Gwen Stefani Week
I was excited when I learned Gwen Stefani is going to mentor this week’s AI performance. As was said in the show, she’s a songwriter, a pop icon, a former frontwoman of rockband, No Doubt, a fashion designer, and a stellar performer. She’s a very unique, well-rounded artist. I wanted to see what new things she’ll be teaching the AI contestants. And of course, if she’s mentoring this week, it means that the contestants will be singing her songs! AI fans would have been in for an exciting time because Gwen Stefani songs are all unique. So, I thought it will be a difficult week for the contestants and yet, I want to see how they’d do.
What could be causing your slow internet connection?
For the past weeks, I had a very slow connection (again). Since I’m on a SmartBro connection, this case is not new. Instead of wasting my time calling their costumer service, and waiting for their worst after sales support. No, I made a few attempts to call them actually, but it seemed that I could not “catch” any representative because only a voice prompt answers my calls.
So, I tried to resort to other means that I thought could speed up my PC. I downloaded some internet booster software, which didn’t work. I also tried to run several browsers, thinking that Mozilla Firefox no more works for faster browsing on my PC. I even tried to install the latest version of Fasterfox, a Firefox extensions which tweaks some of the browser’s configuration for faster browsing. I cleaned up my hard disk, deleting all the unused files, including some of my mp3 collections. I’ve deleted almost 1000 mp3 files, which I regretted after. I patiently downloaded some of them when I was still on a dial-up connection. None of these things worked.
An inch short of a fantasy vacation
Last weekend, our team went on our annual summer outing. As most other companies do, a beach resort almost always is involved in the trip.
I am not here though to share with you the bikini lines, the sunburns, the ocean blue or the white sand of the resort that we went to. I would rather share an interesting experience with the food that was served to us by the resort.
Election 2007 Sites and Podcasts
It seems that technology is catching up with the 2007 elections. No, the elections will not be automated. It is more of technology playing a role in campaigning and awareness. We have heard that Chiz Escudero has setup his own friendster account, and even have an official site. Even the GO Party has its own website/blog.
The Bonjing and His Pop
I had one of the most toxic duties yesterday, not because of the difficulty of the cases but because of the volume of patients seen and the degree of which each patient demanded attention.
A person I recall the fastest is actually a patient’s father. His quirkiness arrived late in the morning with his 27-year old, able-bodied son. He spoke with a slurred authoritative tone.
“Nagsimba ka na ba ha (Did you hear mass already)?” He asked me and the entire ER staff.
