JaypeeOnline @ Manila Bulletin’s Blog-O-Rama

Today is a great day for me and my blog. We got featured in the Blog-O-Rama section of the Manila Bulletin, March 5th issue.

Last Wednesday, March 28th, as I was checking my Yahoo inbox, I was surprised to see an email from Annalyn, much to say an email with the subject “Request for Interview”. The moment I read the subject line, I knew what it was about. Honestly, I was overjoyed! I’ve been dreaming of this day. Even though I felt like my blog was not yet worthy, I’ve been hoping that my blog would be featured in Blog-O-Rama but I wasn’t expecting it to be this soon.

All We Need is Love

He was 16, two years my senior, when we met each other. We called each other “bez” – short for best friend – simply because we were. He was the chic-magnet who could stir up a hurricane (maangas, in short), and I was the guy-repelling fat girl who was an annoying smartass. The differences didn’t end there, but then, they didn’t matter much to us. We complemented each other’s personality. Ours was a relationship void of any romantic sparks — though the others thought otherwise.

Federal Seafood

There is a place behind the old buildings that line Ayala Avenue a restaurant called Federal Seafood. Unassuming in its presence… it boasts of good food and great food.

I only heard about it from the people on the team I recently joined. They often called Federal to cater to their merienda’s and birthday celebrations.

I thought… uhh federal seafood? Somehow it did not sound enticing.

Pimp My WP Dashboard Part I

In this series, I’ll be featuring Wordpress plugins or admin themes that improve the look and feel of the current Wordpress admin panel.

Pimp as defined by Urban Dictionary means, “to make something new, fashionable, or stylish“.

If you ask me, the current Wordpress admin panel looks plain and boring. I’m not sure if you agree with me but if you do, would you like to “pimp” your WP admin panel? While we wait for the release of Digg style WP Dashboard, here’s a WP admin theme that’ll make your Wordpress admin panel look fresh and clean.

Quezon City Science High School teacher Ramon Lorenzo deliberately tries to inflict physical harm on a Math whiz alumnus in front of the faculty and students. Walanghiya talaga kahit kailan!

Two scums I’ve hated the most during my irresponsible high school student life are harassing innocent people. Justice please!

in retrospect… » the Internet, sex, and money

what is it with the Internet that its main purpose for some people is either to get smut or offer sex for a fee?? in today’s Jessica Soho Reports, one episode tackled how, in remote provinces in the Philippines [Cebu, for example], there were Internet cafe’s operating 24 hours which have private rooms… and what were they used for?? so that some Internet users can hold private shows for some of their foreign parukyanos…

this way of earning money is not limited to just teenagers or gays only, though…public school teachers also offer cybersex shows to foreigners for a minimum of $100 per!! one was a 24 year old, and the other one was [wait, you’d better be sitting down for this] a 66-year old!! goodness!!

Junior UK Doctors Found Themselves Jobless And In Debt

Good thing I didn’t apply for a specialty training in the United Kingdom. Poor fellas. This can really be shattering to one’s budding career, considering that each and everyone must have invested thousands of dollars just to be able to be medical practitioners.

Here’s a snippet of the article:

Thousands of young doctors have been left without jobs because a new NHS training system has gone “disastrously wrong”, it was disclosed yesterday.

As much as £2 billion has been spent on the training of up to 8,000 doctors who find themselves without a new job under a Government initiative. Such is the fury at the scheme, called Modernising Medical Careers (MMC), that doctors have renamed it “Massive Medical Cull”.
