Once again, we went to my mom’s favorite panciteria/restaurant at Razon’s, which came from the hometown of Guagua, Pampanga. Mom just can’t resist on eating their best selling pancit luglog and Halo-halo everytime we go there. a bad experience over at Gerry’s Grill by in retrospect…
our HR manager last week decided to take us other managers out for lunch today… we decided to eat at Gerry’s Grill in Libis… and so, at about 11:30 today, all 4 of us bundled ourselves in a car and headed out for Libis… little did we know that this will be the biggest error we will do today…
Warning to wordpress users!!!
I tried upgrading my blog site from WP 2.1.2 to 2.13 and caused me a lot of problems. Most of the times my site is unaccessible.
Here are some of the problems I have encountered:
-broken links for comments,category,post,admin area, theme editor etc
-themes missing under presentation/theme section
-themes are listed but no theme selected
-and a few others I don’t remember me.. excuse moi.. I am sick.. literally
Luckily, I made a back up.
So, if you are planning to click the upgrade link in fantastico or to do a manual upgrade, make sure to back up your database and the worpdress folder (where you have installed WP). I don’t know yet what caused it. Maybe database incompatibility with the new verssion. I really don’t know, I didn’t even bother to check for bugs/issues of the new version. So I’ll stick with 2.1.2 for the meantime.
Wonder what I did to fix this? I took a nap. Yes, I did!. Thanks to BOO, dyu, who went home after his lunch break to restore my old WP.

Wordpress Theme Generator
A really neat little project called “Wordpress Theme Generator” has been created that allows people with no coding knowledge to create their own semi-custom theme. It allows you to see the changes ‘live’ and upload your own header images, which is cool, right

Will you quit your dream job because you hate your boss?
A number of articles have been written (and published) tackling the subject of dealing with an overly demanding boss, or an overly difficult boss. And ALL these articles provide suggestions, and tips to help you deal with these people. Let me rephrase – all these articles provide suggestions, and tips to help you deal with difficult people (and not just your boss). I have read several of them. I even took to heart some of these author’s recommendations.
You see, in our workplace, you really cant choose who you work with. You can choose not to work with them however – meaning you can either resign, or request for a transfer. I have had a number of staff come to me with diatribes about their supervisors or their co-workers. They often express desires to resign because of the effect these people have on them and their performance at work.
Why Batman is a Better Hero Than Superman
- Batman is a mortal while Superman is virtually invincible. Who knows the pain of living better than a mortal? Batman knows he can be in mortal peril but still he surges on to face danger in order to fight for what is right. Superman will not easily be in mortal peril (unless he lets Lex Luthor to stick kryptonite into him) and he knows it, and that’s why he’s confident to confront danger, not because he’s as brave as Batman.
- Batman is brains and brawn (gadgets + strategy + strength). He sets up a strategy: what weapons/gadgets to bring, what transport to use, etcetera. Superman just flies, lifts, throws…all brawn (just in case, you want to be more correct, the word “brawn” isn’t exactly appropriate for Superman because his powers aren’t the result of how well-developed his muscles are. He’s an alien, dammit).
- Batman dresses in cool goth black colors; Superman always dresses in country flag colors. Black briefs will always be sexy; red briefs look sexy on lifeguards only.
- Batman is an entrepreneur. His businesses generate jobs and incomes for many people who work for him. His work contributes a lot to the improvement of the economy. Superman is a reporter. Enough said.
- Batman represents what people can become if they really strive and work hard, and to be better than his previous self while Superman represents the things most people want to have: superpowers, to be better than everybody else. Of the two, I think Batman represents what humanity should be striving for. People must look deep within themselves, amidst the fears, and find the strength to do good. Superman only inspires people to look up into the sky when in deep shit and pray that they’ll receive help coming down from the sky.
