all too real blog of AllTooRealMen by in retrospect…
now that you’ve had your vacations [5 days, eh??], it is now back to the grind, back to work, and back to dealing with all your problems in life… me? i stayed home and blog hopped all that 5 days, played RO, the wife and I were invited for a tasting, and we played a few rounds of badminton with Baddicts! last Saturday… suffice it to say that we took advantage of a traffic-free Manila…
Backup My Blog
One of the things that I always tell blog newbies about is the importance of backups. Having a backup is one thing and having a regular backup is another. This is especially true for database backups. Since data in your database is dynamic and continually changes, your backup may not always be up to date so you need to do backups regularly.
There’s a new service in town called BackupMyBlog. I don’t think I need to tell you what it’s for since the name says it all. How does it work? Here’s more information about this new service.
What is BackupMyBlog?
BackupMyBlog is a beta service that backs up the contents of your blogs database every day. When the times comes for you to do a restore, all you have to do is just download the backup from BackupMyBlog and restore it to your own server.
Corruption: The people should think twice
THE PEOPLE SHOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT THE HYPOCRICY THEY PREACHÂ
Ever since I understand the meaning of the word (second grade) is only associated with politicians and people who have public responsibility. Traditioanally you will hear on the radio, TV and public forums that politicians are to blame for all the irregularities in the Philippine society. During the election period you will hear influential civic leaders campaigning against corrupt officials. Even religious leaders join in the bandwagon. What can I say? Sirang plaka.
Did anyone in this country ever thought about the real root of corruption? I was enlightened when IÂ experienced a typical and classic example of corruption.
on assuming…
IÂ wrote this entry months back… i just feel like sharing it here… i’ve been assuming way back college life until I met this guys who taught me everything about it and how it sucks doing it… Read on and feel free to share your thoughts…Â
Tigil Buga
Tomorrow morning, majority of pinoy workers will be going back to their regular work schedules and routines. I myself am preparing my “office stuff†that has been set aside at the start of the Lenten Holidays.
I just learned a while ago that in Makati, the workers and motorists will have to start their day by participating in the Tigil Buga undertaking.
To Ella

Dear Ella,
It’s been three years since we exchanged vows, hon, and it’s been quite a bumpy ride. We both know our relationship was not perfect, despite the efforts of making it perfect. It was fun.
Laundry List: From Ajax To Mr. Hollywood
I felt that I spent most of my Easter week glued to my computer. I was so busy fixing some things in my blog. Cleaning it up, upgrading Wordpress and fixed some pages that needed some fixing. Not to mention editing and subtitling this recent film we made. Here is the laundry list worth checking:

Win a Microsoft Zune just by Blogging
Self proclaimed dot-com-Mogul John Chow is giving away a Microsoft Zune mp3 player in one of his “Evil Blog Contests”. Since I already have one, I’d just want to share with you this opportunity.
Basically, you just have make a post on your blog about it, send him an email and he’ll draw a random winner at the end of the month (April). It’s worth a shot.
You can also check out my own review of my Zune and how it compares to the iPod HERE
That’s Mr. John Chow below posing with the Zune. Good luck!

It is very refreshing to read stories of local government units taking the initiative of really making a difference in their localities. I’ve heard of GALING POOK before but I didn’t really pay much attention about it. I thought it was just another attempt of the (national) government to prop up its image. But I guess I was wrong.
