How To Lose Your Job
This is the 4th installment to my blog series “How To Lose Your Job”. The intention of this series is to guide entrepreneurs how to weed their organization of the “pasaways” the proper way, and at the same time educate employees of their rights and the parameters governing security of tenure and due process of law. Either way, this shall add value to readers. On this issue, focus is on the “authorized causes” spelled out in Art. 283 of the Philippine Labor Code.

This series is far from over, I first thought this will end after 3-4 posts but the more I think about it, the series may turn out to be longer than I expected. Those who missed the previous posts, go visit these links:
Knowing your rights: Philippine labor laws
I have worked for my present company for several years. My position has given me the opportunity to oversee the work of several employees. And in all those years, I have witnessed my share of new hires, experienced hires, resignees, and applicants.
Because of my work and my position, I have learned a lot about the Philippine labor laws. Add to that, my brother is in the human relations industry and has even been the head of labor relations for a multinational company.

Bunny Man Hunt #2
It’s that time once again to hunt the hot Bunny Man.
He has jumped and landed in one of my previous posts. The first one to find him and comment about it will have his (or her) blog featured by yours truly in “Maruja Recommends.”
In order to spot him, you need to follow the three clues provided below. This time, I made the clues a little bit tricky.
Remember to comment on that particular post to be counted. Previous winners are not allowed to join, sorry.
Here are the (UPDATED) clues to solve the Bunny Man Mystery:
Random Hot Men: American Soldiers in Iraq
If you are an American soldier in Iraq and you are stationed in the base with nothing much to do, how would you spend your time?
The answer:

Camwhoring, of course!
More military hottiness after the jump.
Midnight Realizations
Last Wednesday was the first day of our night duty this week.
I am so used to sleeping around 3 AM and waking up at 12 PM and so I found it hard to take a nap in the afternoon. I thought maybe the instructor would allow us to sleep. Big mistake! I ended up trying to stay awake from 12 AM Wednesday up to 7 AM Thursday.
My first day was filled with ghost stories and girly screams. Don’t know about the men. Were they as scared as the girls? Only they know. Hehehe…
An Ode to Joy
It is 3 in the morning and sleep seem to be so far away.
Anyway as usual (when I am idle), I reflect. Scenes from years ago suddenly came to mind. Those embarassing moments, proud instances, and make or break situations. I said to myself, it has been three years that I am trying to live a life of normalcy doing nursing. Three years of superficial smiles, anxiety, depression, and of course triumphs.
I know that a few weeks from now I would again have to battle the same nightmares. This final year of my nursing (hopefully) is going to be very crucial for a lot of reasons. I shudder at the thought of having to complete all the cases needed for me to take up the NLE. I cringe thinking of another full year ahead of me which is surely to be filled with a lot of frustrations, depression, embarassment, adrenalin, and of course joy.
The Farthingale… bow
A lot of people say that they like my hair short. I don’t know why I disagree with them, but I think I may agree with them a little bit. Sometimes as I look in the mirror and see myself, I can’t stop thinking about Gorge Clooney. I think we have the same hair.
The good thing is that were living in the minimalist trend or (Read)
1 Year With The Queer Chef!
Finally, one year with The Queer Chef. Time flies so fast especially when you are enjoying what you are doing. I can still remember my first post in this blog so clearly. The one thing that I regretted though is that I decided not to import my Bend It Like Banana entries. Still the most important is that through this blog I’ve met wonderful and lovely people online. I am giving a big hug to all my readers and blogger friends!
So in the spirit of this celebration I’ll be awarding 5 people who can answer these questions right or getting the highest score!
Note: 3 winners for the major prizes which are something from Norway and 2 consolation prizes which are slots on the AdIcons for a lifetime.
