MOFO: Maruja Open FO-rum

I chatted with a popular blogger a few days back and he asked me if his site is mundane. Plain. Ordinary. I told him that it is not.

“How I wish I got the same number of comments as you have,” I typed.

I have to admit, views in my blogs have been decreasing recently (how I still manage to snag the top spot among Tagalog Wordpress blogs is still a mystery to me). The site has not been visited by my long-time readers, the comments are trickling, and some links to my blog were removed (so I deleted my link to theirs). I thought something is wrong with me my blog.

In the blogosphere where “comments+links=love”, I suddenly felt that my blog became a mere “stumbled upon” site. Someone in Sudan searched for photos of “hot men” and was stumbled upon into here. All I wanted was to create a wonderful blog with ACTUAL readers.

So I decided on the following:

Google is coming up with new technologies to add to their dominance of the search engine business. It’s called Google Experimental labs. To some, they call it Google “searchology”. Basically, what it does is add some relevant tools and applications and change the way you do searches.

Madonna’s Free Single

In what might probably be part of Her Madgesty’s attempt to be like Santa Angelina, Madonna writes a song inspired by Live Earth.  Okay, okay, she does this on her own volition and not something out of sheer imitation of Angelina Jolie’s altruistic humanitarian efforts.

After adopting a Malawian child – following in the footsteps of Ms. Jolie, who to this day already has 3 adopted kids (I will be the fourth adoptee for more Papa Pitt incestuous relations) from different countries – Madonna has written a new song inspired by the environment. Beat that Ms. Jolie!
