College Matters

College life isn’t as memorable as High School but it is pretty much easier than what you expect. Friends can never be found during the first day, maybe a couple of acquaintances but i tell you, they will only act as your security blancket parang “pampa-lubag loob lang”(not general). I remember the first day of my college life when i never talked to anyone except my batchmate. For me kasi, its good to know them better before you befriend him/her so that you’ll not be disappointed and yu’ll not have to experience what I experience. (not includes the whole story). Anyway, here are my tips for your College survival.

  • Know your Friend but dont be so friendly to get rid from abusers
  • Know your professors
  • Attendance is a must
  • give your best shot in Quiz

“No man is an island”. Friends are really essential this college especially when some announcements are conveyed though text. Aside from that, you’ll never discover the true happiness of studying without friends specially when yu’ll be having a group work, group review or just a simple deviant act like bullying your teachers at the back and the like. All of that can’t be achieved alone. On the other hand, being so friendly in the class is not ideal (unless if otherwise stated), you can be kind but not too frinedly because they will abuse you maybe in Money (pa-libre) or intelligence (pa-kopya).

Shrek 3

Warning: Few Spoilers Ahead! To tell you honestly yesterday was the first time I’ve ever watched Shrek and at the same time an Animated movie in the big Screen! I love to watch “Whispher” instead but my friends were provoking me choose Shrek and so i did.

GOOD POINTS:I find the Movie good and humorous. I love this specific scene when King Harold “the Frog” was about to die and he was having a hard time to tell who’s going to be the next King, it was so funny. I also love the new image of Snow White, She’s super annoying yet yu’ll find her attitude cool and funny. I like SW when She sang again those High pitch notes to summon birds and animals so as  to attack the “tree guards”. I like to see again all the interesting characters in one movie like Rafunzel (She was an antagonist here in the end), The wolf in the Little red.., the cute cookie (i dont know the name), Merlin “The Wizard”, Captain Hook, Snow White of course, the 3 pigs (i dont know what’s their group name), Pinocchio and more… Lastly, the most beautiful part of the story was the Grand face off presentation between Shrek and Prince Charming.. so just watch nalang….

BAD POINTS: I dont like the start of the movie and the next few boring scences between Fiona and Shrek. I dont like the way they exaggerate a scene with Shrek when he was about to present as the new King in front of people… parang walang dating sa akin.. + Artie was not so convincing.. pang-gulo.. plus there were lots of dragging scenes in the start of the movie.. medyo maantok ka talaga sa simula.

Masarap ang Bawal: The May 14, 2007 Story

I know it’s been 10 days since some Filipinos exercised their right (and social responsibility) to vote, but I didn’t want to jump in on the election fever bandwagon for a while. But since I’m feeling better now about some things, I’d like to share a serious peeve of mine during the whole brouhaha.

On the way to the school where my parents were supposed to vote, I immediately noticed kids and adults alike distributing sample ballots and other campaign paraphernalia to the newcomers. They’d really follow the voters and force them to accept their “gifts” up to the gate of the school, where they’d just linger and watch the people. The whole place was so much of a mess that you’d think it’s a fiesta of sorts in the area.

We parked a couple of meters from the school. As soon as my dad got out of our family vehicle, a man approached him and gave him some things.
