One Good Reason Why You Should Upgrade
With no upgrade path for WordPress 2.1 blogs, users are being forced to upgrade to WordPress 2.2 sooner than expected due to a new attack that leaves your site vulnerable if you have your Admin user as user # 1 and your table prefix as WP_.
I have to contend with the 300++ spam comments a day. Thanks to the Akismet plugin, these comments does not find it’s way into the blog. However, precious time is wasted going thru spam comments to de spam a valid comment. In an average, one or 2 valid comments per month is erroneously classified as spam. With the older version of WordPress, I can view all spam comments in one page, but with the 2.2 version, a maximum number can only be displayed per page, thus, the more spams you have, the more pages you have to browse.
New Nokia Phone to Detect Lightning
Nokia Corporation of Finland recently applied for a patent sa US wherein nakaimnvent sila ng technology kung saan ang celphones nila could estimate where lightning will strike. The said technology will make use of FM and GSM signals, tapos me software sa cel mo na could actually estimate where the lightning will hit. This will be very useful sa mga cross-country athletes or kung mahilig kang makipagsex sa desereted na beach oh sira ang CR niya at ume-erna ka sa palayan.

You gotta admire their spirit in this weather.
Yesterday was Pinse Karneval in Copenhagen. Instead of a pre-Lenten carnival, the samba schools did it in time for Pentecost/Whit Sunday. 2000 dancers and musicians paraded through the main shopping street up to the City Hall.
Maybe it’s no match for our Sinulog and bonggacious festivals (I wouldn’t know, actually), but it was still a lot of fun. I found myself bobbing up and down to the beat while taking photographs. Since I haven’t had my camera repaired (and maybe never will because talking to the other Pinays made me dread the Philippine postal system), half of my photos came out blurred, but there were still some good enough to upload.
Watch ‘em out!
Anyway, here’s some of the movies that will premier this Summer in the United States, that I will definitely watch.
