An Apostasy to Mr. Gump’s Creed

I rubbed my eyes in clear disgust over my clock’s hostility. It’s the 16th of May and I never had an all-night’s sleep but it’s time to get up again and prepare my body for another ordinary day. An enormous cat bristles over the the rooftop of our neighbor’s house signaling that everybody’s up except for indolent beings who remain undaunted by the day’s requirements. I shouted at the cat aghast over his overbearingness of the laid-back life of the animalia kingdom. “You may never know Mr. Cat but destiny may betray you. There’s this news last night that there’s a shortage of meat in the city!” . . .(only to be embarrassed) The cat shouted back in shrill voice: “How are you today? You look grumpy and pale!”

Mr. Cat clearly scored against me. I may never know he is rejoicing at the back of his head. A fact is never understated by those who never had insecurities like Mr. Cat.

Will Spammers go to Hell?

The other day I was advertising Pinoy Penster Community on several Filipino Forums. I soon got a pissed off webmaster on the Pinoy Penster Community online Forum suddenly threatening to bring down the site. If I’m not mistaken the guy was probably talking about a DDOS attack. Anyway I got pretty scared and for days I didn’t spam any forum.

This got me into thinking, does God think spamming is a sin?

Questions For Mayor Fred Lim

As a Manileño who has seen three mayors at its helm — Mel Lopez, Fred Lim and Lito Atienza — there was no doubt that Atienza built on what Lim has started and brought Manila back into the tourist map and initiated cultural revival and urban development.

I once thought that Manila was a lost cause because of urban decay but I was surprised by the transformation of the city — Roxas Boulevard, the city’s plazas and the public wet markets in particular. There is one thing that I disliked during Atienza’s term –  it’s the proliferation of pedicabs along national and city roads.

Philippines Next Top Model: Topless…Almost

This photoshoot is supposed to be done in nude, but since we live in a “burn in hell if you go nude” or “go naked and the show will be suspended” society, we have to contend with a topless swimsuit photo challenge. Only that the “top” is then replaced with whatever-the-stylists-fancy.

Unsent’s Post Election Fever!

Holla faithful blog readers and dear friends! Do pardon my introduction, I was talking to one of the numerous aspirants applying for a blog assistant post. Nah, you all know I’m just playing. I’m not that rich to hire a blog assistant, although I must admit it would be great to just dictate every blog post while your very own personal underpaid and medical insurance-less slave do all the finger work. Ahhhh. I’ll list that as one of my dreams on my official book “A GaZillion things to do before all the Politicians die” book — to be filthy rich one day to hire three blogging assistants. Hmmmm *thinking*. Wait a sec. Actually the word filthy gets thrown out everyday by almost everyone that I should actually start to think for a better and more apt term. Hmmmmm. *thinking again*

MOFO: Maruja Open FO-rum

I chatted with a popular blogger a few days back and he asked me if his site is mundane. Plain. Ordinary. I told him that it is not.

“How I wish I got the same number of comments as you have,” I typed.

I have to admit, views in my blogs have been decreasing recently (how I still manage to snag the top spot among Tagalog Wordpress blogs is still a mystery to me). The site has not been visited by my long-time readers, the comments are trickling, and some links to my blog were removed (so I deleted my link to theirs). I thought something is wrong with me my blog.

In the blogosphere where “comments+links=love”, I suddenly felt that my blog became a mere “stumbled upon” site. Someone in Sudan searched for photos of “hot men” and was stumbled upon into here. All I wanted was to create a wonderful blog with ACTUAL readers.

So I decided on the following:

Google Searchology

Google is coming up with new technologies to add to their dominance of the search engine business. It’s called Google Experimental labs. To some, they call it Google “searchology”. Basically, what it does is add some relevant tools and applications and change the way you do searches.

Madonna’s Free Single

In what might probably be part of Her Madgesty’s attempt to be like Santa Angelina, Madonna writes a song inspired by Live Earth.  Okay, okay, she does this on her own volition and not something out of sheer imitation of Angelina Jolie’s altruistic humanitarian efforts.

After adopting a Malawian child – following in the footsteps of Ms. Jolie, who to this day already has 3 adopted kids (I will be the fourth adoptee for more Papa Pitt incestuous relations) from different countries – Madonna has written a new song inspired by the environment. Beat that Ms. Jolie!

And to make it more humanitarian and really having a cause, MSN has tied up with Her Madgesty and offers FREE downloads of her single: Continue Reading
