Poverty (part2)
This is my continuing quest to define poverty.
My last blogpost was like 4 days ago. I was not able to connect to the internet for that same number of days, dahil sa ilang desperadong tao na nagnakaw ng cord ng PLDT namin. Kaya ayun, wala kaming dialtone.
Razorback Composes Song for Online Game
Popular pinoy rock band Razorback led by their lead vocals, Kevin Roy (who by the way is a certified “RF addictâ€), recently composed a song for the Accretian race. Their song, entitled “Empire Accretia†was commissioned by RF Online  a sci-fi Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) by Level Up. The song features heavy guitar riffs, pounding bass lines, furious drums and Kevin Roy’s trademarked voice.“We tried to make the song “universalâ€Â in such a way that not only the players of RF Online would appreciate it. Pati na rin yung ibang listeners madadamay.†Kevin said when asked how they came up with the song.
More about the song and a link to an interview with Kevin Roy after the jump.
Burn Baby Burn!
This is an amazing story. John Kanzius, a 63 year old retired broadcast engineer, was diagnosed with leukemia five years ago. Cancer treatment being what it is (e.g. chemotherapy), he was inspired to find a better way to help cancer patients. He went to work on a machine that used radio waves to kill cancer cells. But that’s not the story (amazing as it already is). His machine has an amazing side effect: It can burn salt water!
“You could take plain salt water out of the sea, put it in containers and produce a violent flame that could heat generators that make electricity, or provide other forms of energy,” Kanzius said.
…
“If I were to be bold enough, I think one day you could power an automobile with this, eventually,” Kanzius told WPBF.
