Blogs That Build People
After reading my post on “Blogs for online mentoring“, a successful entrepreneur sent an encouraging email. Describing himself as “breathing for five decadesâ€, he expressed serious intentions to mentor the younger generations and would like to explore the strength of blogs for this purpose.
An educator blogger also expressed his wish to have a common portal where would be mentors can connect with would be mentee, setting the pace for transfer of wisdom.
Likewise, an Indian national volunteered his services if ever, this online mentoring thru blogs will materialize.

Let Your Thoughts Flow – Breaking the Writer’s Block
This is something every blogger struggle with every once in a while. It seems that no matter what we do, no mater how hard we try, the words that we want to say still could not come out. You have the idea fixed on the back of your mind, but you still can’t put them into words.
There are many reasons that can be the cause of Writers block, more common ones would be the lack of creative juice, the effect of stress, and time constraints. But I am not going to talk about these common reasons that other bloggers have already talked about.
On this post, PinoyBlogero is going to talk about one cause that people are less aware of: The effect of the restrictions on proper writing and how to overcome it.
Â
“Now, where shall we start?”
Blocked Thoughts
There are certain writing rules or guidelines that a writer must follow in order for him to create a high quality and well formed article. As bloggers, we are subjecting ourselves to public criticism, which is why it is only normal for us to observe proper writing methods such as the grammar, spelling, proper punctuations, construction of words and the like.
Did you know?
I just found some trivia on the website of “National Historical Insitute“.
Do you know that in Spain, Spaniards eat “Filipinos?”
“Filipinos” is actually a brand of cookies covered in chocolate produced by a company called United Biscuits Iberia, S.L. The cookies were inspired by “rosquillo” biscuits produced in Iloilo and Negros and the Spaniards added another twist by coating it with brown or white chocolate
Do you know that Bonifacio had his image photographed he would look like Jose Rizal?
According to Bonifacio’s friend and comrade Guillermo Masangkay, as an agent of foreign companies doing business in the Philippines, Bonifacio had to dress well. He wore coat and tie, trousers and shoes which is far from his barefooted Katipunero image wearing shoes, an undershirt, loose pants and brandishing a bolo. On the very day the Katipuneros shouted the cry for freedom, Bonifacio was wearing his coat and tie. While presiding over a meeting with other revolutionary leaders whether or not to begin the revolution against Spain, Bonifacio realized that he was going to be overruled. He took off his coat and went outside where five hundred to a thousand Katipuneros were waiting for their decision. After telling them that all of them could be arrested by the Spaniards, the Katipuneros then decided to revolt then they tore their cedulas as a sign of defiance to Spain.
Boozefest with Bloggers

L-R: Owners of The Dork Factor, Bulitas, UtakGago, Misteryosa, Heneroso, CokskiBlue, Seph the Dreamer, Billycoy, Atheista, FireEyedBoy, and Lord Artworks
I can never pass up an opportunity to intoxicate myself. I love getting [quite] drunk just as much as I love dogs. So when Joe invited me for a boozefest in Drew’s, Katipunan to celebrate — in advance — his and Irvin’s birthday, I immediately told my mom that I wouldn’t be going home on Friday night. It didn’t matter that I was meeting the very same people I was with a few days before.
