Does it heal or kill?

My aunt suffered mental anguish and sleepless nights when I told her that she looked yellowish. Without a word, she immediately went to a doctor, an internist for medical check up. The internist-doctor advised her to undergo series of laboratory tests to roll out for possible hepatitis infection. Results show that her liver excreted too much enzymes which caused her skin and eyes yellowish. Her hepatitis panel tests were all negative after some repeat laboratory tests for several weeks. She discussed with her doctor that she took tablets of food and herbal supplements for few weeks already. The doctor advised her to refrain from taking food and herbal supplements. After taking prescribed vitamins for the liver, her skin has returned to normal. That was in the year 2006.
