The Truth behind Jojo Duncil’s decision to forgo his final year
JOJO Duncil, the player under scrutiny by the UAAP board, has pushed the escape button. Mr. Duncil and UST did the best way possible probably to avoid controversy, referring to Duncil’s birth certificates – the dissimilarity between the photo copy record of UAAP eligibility committee and his true record from the NSO.
His records in the UAAP said he was born in 1983, contrary to his authenticated NSO record. His NSO record stated that he was born in 1982. If he was born in 1982 means that he cannot play this season because he is 25 years old. Only players below 24 years old are allowed to play UAAP basketball.
Just three days ago, I went to the UST campus in Espana, Manila and I’m really happy to meet the man they call Mr. Jojo Duncil – last year’s finals MVP who took charge of the Growling Tiger’s destiny to a 2-1 victory over Ateneo to claim the 69th UAAP title. We had a great conversation. But some questions are still left hanging.
Jojo told me, there are a lot of people who are trying to ruin his reputation and tarnish the name of his school by horse riding on the issue. But despite those intrigues, as the way he expresses, he said even further that he’ll play this season even if some schools will oppose his eligibility.

Hindi kataka-taka kung si Heber Bartolome at ang Banyuhay Band ay dumalo nuong ika-2 Anniversaryo ng Pilipinas Ngayon Na! ni Undersecretary Robert T. Rivera at ni Jeli Mateo na co-host ni Usec. Rivera. Ito’y dahil si Usec. Face Rockery
I’m suffering from a weird face thingie right now, but I’m not in the mood to talk about it in detail since I’m just starting to recover. I’m hoping to fully recover from this stupid thingie ASAP. Although this thingie has been the most unpleasant and most uncomfortable shit that has happened to me since… forever, something good came out of it.
See, when this thingie started, I became more anti-social than usual. For the last several days, it was just one big home-office-home cycle for me. Even online, I’m always not in the mood to talk to people, so most of the time, I’m off YM and Twitter. This gave me more time to do other stuff like working and putting up a new blog. Yes, you got me. The bottom line of this post is to tell you that I have a new blog.
This new blog is called Face Rockery (http://facerockery.bigbaddie.com). It’s a niche blog where I talk about my mistress: comic books and all things related to sequential art. I also yak about other forms of pop culture once in a while. I already tried this whole niche blog shit before, but I ended up quitting it. This time, I’m in it for the long haul.
