Pinoy Big Bother
Nope, that’s not misspelled.
Eversince PBB got introduced into the country, everyone’s been ballistic over it. And I still don’t know why people are going ga-ga over a “reality show†about people who aren’t completely true about themselves on t.v. At least for some, that is.
To be fair, PBB1 was the best. They had the right mix of people there and I must admit, even if I didn’t watch the complete season, I got attached to their wacky and really funny group…minus Sam Milby. And speaking of Sam, I still don’t get the point of him being a crush ng bayan. For one thing, his smile is freaky (to me at least) and he cannot act. And who signed him up anyway? He’s incapable of singing! And before I forget, his Tagalog sucks. He shouldn’t have been set free on Pinoy T.V. if he’ll be speaking in a twisted Tagalog/English accent.
But anyway, I’m not out to sabotage Sam Milby’s “careerâ€.
On PBB’s current season, I heard disturbing things about a certain housemate named Wendy. Since I didn’t have the chance to see any complete episodes of PBB2, stories from my friends served as my insight on the show. But sure enough, even newspapers covered PBB2 and it’s misgivings.
At one point, I actually planned to watch a complete episode of PBB2 but I got turned off because the people inside Kuya’s house got me bored. Everyone looked cute and showbiz-material ready, but none of PBB1’s weird and somehow ordinary people were in this batch. It’s like ABS-CBN gathered the housemates from the same pool and resulted in a not so beautiful outcome: all of them weren’t exciting enough to watch. Plus, since these contestants have already watched the previous PBBs, they had the idea of how to play safe on camera. They were conscious of their moves and I think they acted the way they did for some other reason apart from being themselves on t.v. Whether these are true or not, I didn’t like this bunch. To put it simply in terms of Biology, they lacked diversity.
Whatever reasons they had for entering Kuya’s house, I think 60% of that was just to get attention and be discovered as the next Uma or Jayson or Sam. Forgive me for thinking that, PBB loyalists, but I wasn’t moved by their sincerity on t.v. at all. And to think the show’s tagline is Ang Teleserye ng Tunay na Buhay! And why the hell did they have to put on uniforms all the time? They looked stupid.
In the end, it didn’t matter to me who won and why and how the public views Wendy’s indiscretion and what changes Gee-ann have now. I’m just glad PBB2 is over. Thank goodness.

Hi, I’m reading you via the No Nofollow | I Follow | DoFollow Community at Bumpzee.
I must admit I know nothing about reality shows, I just can’t seem to get involved in them. Anyway, now I guess I will have to at least check this one out.
Looking forward to reading more from you.
