Water rationing is pathetic and reflects the short-sightedness of government. Exhorting the public to conserve water may be reasonable but unnecessary. Majority of the poor are using water prudently. Why not appeal to golf clubs to stop wasting precious water resources?

We have water restrictions here (East coast, .au) and they seem to be helping – ‘the poor’ probably aren’t effected as they aren’t a physical restriction, just a legal one (fines for grevous abuse, ‘please explain’ for small overruns).
The golf courses etc already have stoped watering, or are using recycled water.
We’re not on town supply, ourselves, but I do worry what will happen when the townies run out of water – it can’t be much longer for them now
