CSI Detective Wannabe: Tracking down my detractor
This morning, I was very excited to post my previous blog entry in PinoyBlogoSphere. As soon as I posted my entry at the PBS, and the link to my blog, I immediately got a comment. I thought it was cool! However, instead being delighted, it dampened my spirit, instead. I admit that I was furiously mad infront of my PC. But that was just a normal reaction, ins’t it? What further added insult to the injury was the fact that the comment came from an “Anonymous” person. “She” gave a name at the bottom of her comment, though (so I will call her a “she/her” in the meantime). Being a naturally polite and thinking person that I am, I did not immediately reply because I wanted to be very cautious in handling the situation. I went out, puffed one stick, drank ice-cold water, and then went back infront of my PC to compose my polite rejoinder.
Coming back from the bookstore this afternoon, I was still thinking if I should blog on the incident to get even. However, I wanted to be sure of my action. Hence, I browsed on topics about netiquette and I found out that it is simply not proper to get even because my blog is already a public domain. It was fine with me.
So what will I do? Ignore “her”? No.

My outlook on death and a tribute for Lola
Death for our Christian family is a celebration – a celebration of life in eternity – and not mourning.
Well, yes, there were always be tears human as we are who were beautifully created with emotions. But we believe, God sees the meaning of each tear that we shed. Deep in it are the joys and thankfulness that once again another member of our family has been promoted to live in eternity face to face with the Lord in a place where there is no sadness, no pain, no grief, no violence, no selfishness but all pure sharing, happiness and love.
As tribute for my Lola who sacrificed a lot for her children and for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, I made this photo montage with a colorful background signifying our assurance and bliss that Lola is now enjoying the most beautiful place with her long lost loved ones. I printed this in 7 by 3 feet tarpaulin and posted it in one of our walls here at home.

As you can see, the stats say that Japan and primarily the Middle East countries top the destinations where we send our Pinays to work (supposedly) for money they couldn’t earn here. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Japan and our country is still in the middle of a long-standing battle: COMFORT WOMEN. PM Abe doesn’t even recognize the fact that his countrymen raped and killed our women during the WWII. And yet, we keep sending our women, primarily, to work for them as entertainers or helpers.
The Middle East countries are an even bigger source of headache for us. We know what’s been going there: Pinay DHs being raped, being maltreated, not given any pay, and even the Pinoys are given the same treatment. We know of the lives of our kababayans who died or was killed, we even had movies made in honor of these people, but we just keep on letting our people go there and be killed almost willingly.
It’s such a sad reality that some people must and should leave the country in order to support their families in this way; be it that these people are walking blindly into an unforeseen tragedy or blessing specifically designed for them. We sympathize and even admire these people for braving the unknown, but what the government can do for them is to make more of an effort to protect their rights and their lives while they work their asses off for their loved ones.
I agree with a lot of what Pedestrian Observer said but seeing as our politicians can do all talk and no apparent action is just damn wrong. They do it for publicity and that’s sick. Where’s the public service in all of that? I guess the people who work for POEA or whoever maybe doing something to ensure our OFWs’ safety, but again, could it be possible that they are working too slow?
Where in the Galactic Empire is Luke Skywalker?

Of course we know who Luke Skywalker is, but have you ever wondered where Mark Hamill is and what he has been doing nowadays? Hamill, the actor who portrayed Skywalker’s character in the Episodes IV, V and VI of Star Wars, seem to have vanished into the galaxy after he did the flicks in the late 70s and early 80s.
The Big Two-Oh – Teener No More
They got me drunk.
Kevin, Jhed, LA, Yna, Rens, Irvin, Aaron James, Neil, Jake, Jason, and Tantan (yeah, 3 emerging influential bloggers under one roof, who knew, who knew?). It’s the only picture I took, and they’re not even complete there because the last 3 people just made habol. Neil, however, took lotsa eyesores eye-candies.
They all braved the crazy and dangerous route to my house just to celebrate my birthday with me. It was the first time I ever invited people over for some booze. And I had a blast, both literally and figuratively.
I have never been soooo drunk in my entire natural-born life. I completely went bonkers and spaced out. I’m still reeling from having too much alcohol in my system, really. But I remember every second of the booze fest. Well, except for the part when I went to my father’s room to sleep and leave my visitors by themselves. I didn’t even send them off properly. See how much of an ungrateful bitch I can be? Hehe, me too. :p
