The Big C

Today, my parents are celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary. It’s one of those days where it’s apt to ponder on a word that a number of people are afraid of– a big C that’s not cancer, but commitment.

Looking at my parents’ example, it’s so obvious that love is not a feeling. Sometimes, I wonder why they ever thought of getting married or why they’re still together after all these years. I guess they both know each other so well that they’re given more than enough reasons not to like each other. Yet, they’re still here. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I think they made the wrong choice! It’s just that seeing them is a testimony that love is a choice.  Click here to read the rest of the entry
