DOING SOMETHING GOOD OUT OF MY EMPTY LIFE….

I am feeling sad today… But it’s ok, I cant complain about my life right now coz compared to other people I have a better life though there are some things that i dont like about it. It would be ungrateful for me to be complaining all the time, instead I want to do something good out of my time and life. Maybe one of the reasons why im feeling empty is because I still cant find what I really want in my life, and what I want to do with it.

I want to participate in a volunteer work so I can share to other people not only what I know but also find out what my potentials are, and what more can I do for others. I know it’s kinda selfish to think that I would only be helping others just because I want to feel good and fill the emptiness that im feeling rigth now. But what can I do? I can’t think of any better ways than this. I am not a religious person but i strongly believe that if you want to be closer to the Creator, you have to be close to His Creation.

Im taking the first step now… Im making a pact with myself and hopefully with the help of the Divine Spirit, I would be able to accomplish it. To be honest, I’m scared to die knowing that I haven’t done something good for other people. I used to question myself, what will happen to me when i die and im in front of God and He would ask me ” Hey, My child, what have u done for your brothers and sisters down there on earth?”  Im afraid I can’t be able to give Him a good answer. That is if I would go to Heaven.. (laughs!)

I know what i’m trying to accomplish is something that is very noble and I also know for a fact that it is not very easy to do without the will power. And please don’t get me wrong here. I’m not trying to act as if I can medicate or give solutions to all the social disorders or diseases that we are having right now. I know I dont have that capacity. But I also know that you dont have to move the earth or mountains in order for you to make a difference. All we need to do is start our acts in small steps and from there we will see what we can do next.

So, does anyone know an institution or organizations that might need volunteers? I need your help guys…. Thanks.

My 2 Zone Technique intro.

True Photography consist of two key zones. (Zone A covers subject to film), better known as a negative, ( Zone B covers film to Print), other wise known as a positive. In true photography one can not exist with the other. Digital photography merely records the scene in pixel format, it lacks the required zones which are needed to create a true positive print.

I have added a Zone C to my Black and White Photo Art, this zone determines where colors on the final Black and White print. This Technique allows full control of contrast, composition, and balance of each individual photo.

My Hand coloring Techniques elevates the viewer chromatic thresholds. Color contrast can be easily manipulated to suit artist mood

or expressions simultaneously. I can enhance visual differences between two areas of different luminance or illumination.

I try to highlight the obvious positive in each Photo, I also attempt to accentuate the unseen Beauties of our world.

Printing a positive for Hand Tinting.

Printmaking is the most exciting aspects of Photography. Black and White Print making lends itself towards a leisurely creation. You can fine tune the image-by enlarging it and altering the tones of White through Black. You can also reduce or increase the contrast between them. Cropping the edges readys the Print for final viewing.
Photo Printing Paper is coated with a light-sensitive emulsion containing crystals of silver atoms combined with bromine or chlorine atoms or both. Light is passed through the negative and onto the paper. After the print is exposed it is placed in a developer where chemical action converts the crystals into a dark metallic silver. Then the Print is place in a stop bath to halt the action of the developer, then fixer, which removes undeveloped and unexposed crystals, and finally it is washed and dried.
All of my Black and White Photos are in the range of zone “IV” through zone “VII”. This allows the Hand Tinting to take on it’s on Mood. The colors have a tendency to jump from the Paper.
What makes my Black and White Photo Art Unique ? I use only color film to my Print Black and White Photos the Classic way. It gives me a wonderful guide to know the true colors of the scene for future Tinting. With Black and White film you will only have shades of greys for reference.
Color films has more contrast due to the nature of it emulsion. In color film red is red, blue is blue, and yellow is yellow. Black and White Print paper responds well in the toe and shoulder areas. Density becomes more apparent in the shadows zones.

Malu Fernandez Returns?

I was busy copying answers for my take-home exam in Numericals early this afternoon when I received a twitter message on my mobile phone that came from Benj of Atheista.net telling everyone about an interesting and surprising twist on an already-dead issue.Malu Fernandez will be back! Well at least that’s what the picture below says.

I found the image posted on Lovefool’s blog. Based on the picture, it seems that Malu Fernandez will resume her post as a column writer in Manila Standard Today this coming Monday.

Is this true? What ever happened to her resignation?

Political Unrest

Perhaps some would contest that PGMA’s cheating fiasco on the 2004 polls was a necessary evil in that she was the better qualified candidate to be president. Or maybe some would say that everyone has cheated, so why the hell are we bent on impeaching PGMA when, hypothetically, every darn politician is scathed from corruption? How about Erap and his gambling thing with Chavit: should we turn a blind eye to him because he stands now as the opposition’s grand-daddy to PGMA’s administation?

We love going around in circles: we go on and on about something but we reach nothing to conclude it. That’s one of the things that I hate about our society. The people we put our trusts in are the same idiots that try and bring democracy or even decency down with them. How do we expect to fair with our neighboring asian countries when (1) we have no self control and (2) we do not want self-control?

Delicadeza is such a fine word to describe what we lack to govern ourselves. It’s one of the first words that comes to mind when I’m reminded of the plunder case against our favorite oppositionist Erap or PGMA’s Garcy dialogue. Even delicadeza is a fitting term to spat at the turncoats up in the Senate. Too bad for Joker and Angara though. I mean, look at these (former) fine gentlemen: they’re reputably ‘good’ but due to whatever non-sense they had to put up with, they now reside under the very roof they once proclaimed war against. That’s sad, right?

Nowadays, being intelligent doesn’t assure you anything other than being fooled. Mirriam Santiago is one intelligent, kick-ass woman but I don’t know what happened to her to lick PGMA’s boots faster than anyone else in Congress. Then Villar and his troops (Cayetano, Pangilinan and Escudero) are posing under PGMA’s camp as well. And I thought they were in the opposition. For whatever reasons, these Senators are making their decisions not for the good of the people nor of the State: they’re doing it for their own good.

What’s sad is that we really have talented and smart people up in the Senate but they waste their efforts on the wrong things. Well, perhaps they have their own take or stand on the different issues and problems that plague us, but I just hope their ideas are well-intended for the people.

Haaaybuhay….so frustrating.

Charles’ Reviews: Evan Almighty

One day before my Licensure Examination for Teachers, I decided to relax a bit and shrug off my nervous, so I watch a movie. There was no good movie, except for Evan Almighty. Top-billed by Steve Carell and Morgan Freeman.

The movie is the sequel for Bruce Almighty, starring Jim Carrey. But as with the usual sequels, this is better that the first film. The prosthetics used in this film is so superb that anyone can be fooled by Carell’s beard, and growing hair.

The movie revolves around a newly-elected US Congressman, who is working to “Change the World”. They just moved into a new house, and works on a bill that calls for destruction of National Parks and converting them into subdivisions. But as life moves on, strange things start to happen. Animals (all different kinds of animals) start
following Evan around. And the number 614 appears everywhere he goes. Evan soon learns that the number is a verse in the Bible. In the book of Genesis, 6:14 is the verse in which God instructs Noah to build the ark. The ark was designed to meet the actual measurements of the biblical ark, measuring 450 feet long, 80 feet wide, and 51 feet high.

Writing for Nobody

Apparently, less and less people are reading books. And as much as this depresses me, I can’t say I’m surprised. My own reading habits do nothing but support these statistics.

I used to read a lot when I was younger. A whole lot in fact, that my mother would worry (and with good reason) about my ability to cope with real world problems should they come my way. But the older I grew, the more things started to get in the way of my reading. Distractions of the productive as well as of the non-productive nature began to take up more and more of my time, leaving me too tired to read at the end of the day.

The desire to read is still there, just not as strong. Now, I can stand to walk in a bookstore and not buy a single book. While not having purchased a good book lately makes me feel like I’m missing out on a lot of things, I can begrudgingly admit that I wouldn’t be able to read it anyway. Heck, I have around 10 books sitting on the shelf just waiting to be read. But what can I say? Watching TV and / or going to the movies are all the stuff I have time for now.

As a workaround to my literary drought, I have started listening to Audiobooks. Agatha Christie’s ABC Murders, A Pocket Full of Rye, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, and Hickory Dickory Dock were among the books I first listened to. Then I tried out books I wouldn’t normally have read like A Confederacy of Dunces.

Mabuhay Philippine Madrigal Singers at Pilipinas!
