Black and White negatives or Color negatives.

A Black and White Negative is a reversal of the tones in the original scene. Where the scene is bright, the negative develops many dense, dark grains of silver. These dense areas hold back light from the paper, they prevent the formation of silver in the papers emulsion and so creates a bright area corresponding to the bright area in the scene. Where the scene was dark, the negative is thin or even clear. It passes much light to the paper and dark silver is formed in the emulsion, resulting in a dark area in the print.
Color films take advantage of the fact that nearly all colors can be reproduced by mixing only a few basic or primary colors. Color films are made with three color-sensitive layers, each of which records the wavelenghts of lights in a different third of the color spectrum. Colors negative film is processed to be the opposite in colors and density of the original scene; then it is printed onto a sheet of sensitized paper to make a positive color print.
This is why I shoot color films to Print out my Black and White Photos the Classic way. Color films gives more details in my prints. The colors remain true and the tones are richer. I use the actual color photo as a guide when I Hand Tint my Black and White Prints.

Is Barney gay?

Anyone who has taken cared of a child would have come across Barney, the purple dinosaur. You will have seen him in various audio and video cds. I receive many of those cds during my own two kids birthdays. They seem harmless enough. The songs are very catchy and kids find it easy to follow the tunes. In fact, my 1-year old’s favorite morning exercise is dancing to Barney and Friends.

Who is Malu Fernandez Part II

This post is in relation to my prior blog entitled Who Is Malu Fernandez?.

Indeed, this Malu Fernandez, the one whose name is clouded with controversies, and rightly so, for her insensitivity and bigotry, is not a daughter of my beloved adopted city. Thank God for that!

One prick can be fatal

Hepatitis B is an inflammation of the liver and that is caused by Hep B virus. Acute infection with hepatitis B virus is associated with acute viral hepatitis – an illness that begins with general ill-health, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, body aches, mild fever, dark urine, and then progresses to development of jaundice. It has also been noted that itchy skin all over the body, has been an indication as a possible symptom of all hepatitis virus types. Possible forms of transmission include (but are not limited to) unprotected sexual contact, blood transfusions, re-use of contaminated needles and syringes, and from mother to child during childbirth.

The briefness of life

Life, indeed, is very short. We realized the truth in this adage very recently when two of my husband’s uncles passed away. It was a wake up call of some sort and the reality of our mortality stared at us like a sneering demon.

The Angel of Death took Tito Rene away from us in February, while Tito Mina left just early this month. My husband’s family may not acknowledge it but if truth be said, the passing of these two gentlemen created a dent on the foundation that the family was built upon, somehow.

Newbie

Hi I’m new here…actually I have no idea what is this for…can you guys help me here?

XYZ-Blog (Reflections of a Newbie Blogger)

X-Blog

In Algebra, the letter x is used as a variable which means that it can be anything. In Science, Physicist Wilhelm Röntgen discovered special rays that could penetrate solid materials but he didn’t know much about the rays so he called them x-rays. In Hollywood, you’ve got to have the x-factor to make it.   xThe words unlimited, mysterious, and special try their best to describe you but each one always falls short.

My friend Marc Villanueva introduced me to the world of blogging. I haven’t completed my crash course yet but his initial pointers have led me to do my own search on what a blog is. And in my search for answers, I find that a blog has a lot in common with x. In fact, they exhibit the same qualities.

GARCI TAPE SCANDAL: PART II

Many sectors in our society today fully subscribes to Honorable Senator Lacson’s proposition that there must be an end to the Garci Tape Scandal, a scandal that hounds Philippine politics to date. Senator Lacson’s noble intention is beyond reproach. The Senator as well as his classmates in PMA Batch 71’ already earned their own places in the annals of Philippine History.

However, the question that will arise in bringing back the issue all over again are, whether: is it appropriate, timely and legally acceptable? Where will it lead us?

The scandal, which nearly resulted into: anarchy, people power revolt and coup d’ etat – should have toppled Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo more than two years ago if not for a vacuum of a leader acceptable to   the opposition, military and other sectors in our society. Many, if not all will admit that if FPJ was still alive, the situation would have been different.

It must be underscored that it is only through impeachment that a President can be unseated under our Constitution, which must originate from Congress. The opposition, however, have not mustered enough votes in the Lower House for the articles of impeachment to reach the Senate, the body to try the case. Consequently, a stalemate resulted to a sudden lull that led the public to uproar into hysteria. They were left in quandary hanging suspended in animation – “BITIN”!
