Joey vs. Willie

Let me just make it clear: I watch neither Eat Bulaga nor Wowowee but I catch glimpses of these shows when I have lunch in Melville, the nearest friendly carinderia in front of my dorm in Elbi. Eat Bulaga, I like genuinely, but Wowowee? with Willie’s intolerable and corny antics, no thank you. To be frank, I do not enjoy seeing the contestants in that show ‘get down and dirty’ or simply do whatever sort of task Willie wants them to. The thing is, the contestants need money; that’s one of the main reasons why they even bothered to join and so technically, they do a ‘kapit sa patalim‘ thing to invoke Willie’s sympathy on them. That’s not entertainment for me, though I’m well aware it is for some.
When Joey opens his mouth, you know it’s something big and often ugly. Truth is, I agree with Joey. If you’ll watch the succeeding clip, you can see that there is something wrong:
From what people told me, Willie should be holding just one number as opposed to two. Willie defends himself by saying that since that Wilyonaryo portion is new, he made ‘a few’ mistakes and was momentarily confused. But for showbiz’s sake, Willie had to air his side.
Isn’t it dramatic, the way these men want to argue about this thing on national t.v. with the kids watching and all? That’s parental guidance right there.
Well anyway, this word war between Joey and Willie is really getting out of hand. I mean, c’mon, now even Senator Roxas and the rest of the Senate wants to probe into this affair as well? Why can’t they let Laguradia do her job and slap these two overgrown men a thing or two about maturity and honesty? There are a lot of more important things to dip their hands into like Joma’s arrest, Erap’s verdict or PGMA’s impeachment. It’s the people’s taxes that enable the Senate to move, so please let’s not waste the precious resources on something as trivial as this.

for me i think as an audience, joey is not good to watch, specially to minor, because she or rather he is very unprofessional, it is not drama, it is not corny, all of us must face the true meaning of life or entertainment, we dont need to parining parining just to make our audience to be laugh, everytime i tune in the tv set to eat bulaga, puro kayabangan nalang, susmaryosep naman diba, halos nung dumating ang wowowee halos iniba na ng eat bulaga and format ng show nila, means thay are really affected to the ratings it is very obvious that wowowoee beats eat bulaga, much more than we expected. so kahit gaano ka safe magsalita ng magsalita ang joey de leon ninyo, tanga nalang ang di makakaintindi kung sino ang lagi niyang tinitira. stop being blind, stop being depth please just think of everything. lahat ng wheel ay may zero araw araw isinusuot lang kung saan ishuffle ang mga prizes. for the record wowowee has a lot more millionaires that eat bulaga if we compare. saka sobrang bastos si joey nakakairita na. nakakasawa na ang style nya masyadong bulok at ewan.
its not about the shows. its about how and why this issue started. willie started it by saying that joey accused him and blahblahblah. the thing is, i agreed with joey when he said ‘explain before you complain’. willie should stop pointing fingers and instead explain what happened in his wilyonaryo segment. yun lang naman po ang point ko, hindi yung kung anung show ang mas magaling, eat bulaga o wowowee.
Hay naku, Willie merely diverted the real issue: BAKIT MAY DALAWANG NUMBER SA IISANG GULONG SA WILYONARYO?
What if VIOLET ang pinili ng constestant, tapos lumabas sa paghatak ni Willie ang dalawang numero? Ano’ng ibig sabihin nun? Puwede niyang sabihing hindi nanalo ang contestant, puwede rin niyang sabihing “nanalo ka pala ng chew million.”
At bakit noong “nagkamali” ng hatak si Willie ay natawa pa siya? Hindi siya nagulat na bakit nga ba dalawa ang numero sa iisang gulong? May balak nga siguro talaga siyang imanipula ang resulta ng laro. Sayang naman kasi kung Chew Million na halaga ng Taheebo, Pau, at Fitrum ang ipamigay. Sayang naman kasi yung mga binubulsa niya mula sa mga TFC subscribers. Mababawasan ang budget para sa pagtayo ng mansyon niya.
Kaya ayan, feeling ni Puppy Willie guilty siya. Nagsabi lang si Joey na walang daya, akala na ni Wilie siya ang pinaparinggan kahit na walang binabanggit na pangalan. Ika nga ni Joey, inako ni Willie na siya lang ang mandaraya sa mundo.
Saka heto lang ang masasabi ko sa mga maka-Willie: Hindi ang Eat Bulaga ang nagpasimuno ng stampede; hindi rin ang Eat Bulaga ang nag-utos kay Ace Vidanes na kumuha ng komisyon mula sa mga nanalong contestant; at lalung-lalo na hindi ang Eat Bulaga ang naglagay ng dalawang number sa iisang gulong. Lahat ng isyu tungkol sa Wowowee ay dahil lang sa katangahan nila.
Marami pang taon na bubunuin ang Wowowee bago pa maabot ang KALINGKINGAN ng na-achieve ng Eat Bulaga.

to be honest, i think willie is trying his hardest to hide his and abs-cbn’s cheating stint, or mistake if you like (para mas civil naman tayo). sana lang wag na masyadong umepal ang senado sa issue na to. magconcentrate na lang sila sa zte and garci issues.

In 1985, still burdened by her past, Pepsi Paloma hanged herself to death.
