Dell Latitude XT Tablet
And here I was thinking that the Tablet PC market is quite dead. Dell plans to release it’s first Tablet PC called the Latitude XT although they’ve been quite silent about it. I confirmed the project sometime in May up till now, the only information that you can find floating on the net is this picture as well as the specs below.Read the rest of this entry »

MSNBC acquires Newsvine
I was new to the service (newsvine) so I was a bit surprised to see a post on digg about the issue as well as the new logo.

MSNBC has acquired Newsvine, a socially driven news site (like Digg, Shoutwire, etc). Newsvine will continue to operate as an independent news site and will not be folded into MSNBC.com, but Newsvine technology will be added to the MSNBC website.Read the rest of this entry »

IE7 removes WGA check
The first time IE7, I was a bit confused at Microsoft’s intent. At first, they wanted to compete with Firefox by providing a “free,” safe and optimal browser to compete with Firefox, Opera and everyone else. When it came out, I was surprised to see an additional WGA check which was embbedded into every installation of the new browser, which was quite separate from the checks of my windows installation –this goes the same for WMP11. Besides, this is a technical blog but you guys already know that didn’t you?If you’re interested on my views on the issue, you can read up my comments on Pinoyblogero. Now that that’s done, on with the review:Read the rest of this entry »

The Storm superworm
No this isn’t a security bulletin but if you’re thinking that your computer is safe from viruses and malware, think again.

What is Storm?

If you’ve been seeing floods of emails and IM messages that try to get you to click links that say, “Interesting Pics,” “Watch this video,” “Funny Pics here,” etc then you’ve seen how the Storm worm spreads. These hoax messages direct victims to a site and prompt them to install an “applet.” This applet is actually Storm Worm itself.

Shakugan no Shana: Movie Review
It’s another anime movie that I’ve been waiting for, for quite awhile now. Shakugan no Shana or Shana of the Blazing Eyes. As with Bleach’s Memories of Nobody, I decided to watch the movie with a bit of trepidation. Anime movies bat about 1:15 on a good to bad ratio and I really didn’t want Shana to have a bad movie being a long time fan and all.Read the rest of this entry »
