Sci-fi: Lose a job, get a job
Have you ever been fired because of boredom?I have, and I’m not proud of it, and that’s a story that I’d talk about some other day. But I can relate with these Japanese guys who have been reprimanded for contributing to Gundam’s wikipedia entry. 260 times. Using the Japanese ministry of agriculture’s computers.
Reminds me of the memo the DENR issued to their employees. The subject? Accessing Friendster during office hours.
Fortunately sometimes both sci-fi and Friendster have their legitimate uses in business. Some businesses actually use Friendster (or more commonly, MySpace, and more recently, Facebook) to market their products. And a guy actually used his obsession for Star Wars costumes to get a job:

Bloggers are not immune from scandal, but it’s only now that I realized how much of a scandalizing dirtbag I am.
Morals are not my strongest suit, but I don’t understand why searching my pseudonym (“Marocharim”) in Yahoo! would lead to more than a few (purported) links to celebrity sex scandals, nude pictures and such, which include the following celebrities:

- Kristine Hermosa
- Katrina Halili
- Cassandra Ponti

Ang papel na ito ay tatalakay sa dalawang magkaugnay na konsepto, ang Panahon ng Impormasyon at ang yumayabong na wika ng mga bading, ang sward language o gay lingo, lahat ay sa konteksto ng Pilipinas. Sa ilang pahinang papel na ito, susubukan kong himayin ang mga pinagmulan, kasaysayan, mga dahilan, mga teorya (personal at reperensyal), at ang kasalukuyang gamit at epekto sa mga Pilipino ng dalawang bagay na ito, lalo na ang kanilang kaugnayan sa isa’t-isa.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’s Trailer is Now Up!
While listening to Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack MP3s, I’ve come across via YouTube the trailer of Johnny Depp’s newest movie, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. And just imagine how my heart was racing again. I just can’t get enough of this guy. Fine. You already know that. After all, as early as a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been saying tons of things about the new movie – from Johnny Depp photos as Sweeney Todd, who Sweeney Todd is, and the release of the movie poster.
Anyhow, here I am enjoying the trailer again and again and trying to find the Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd. After all, when he’s in character, he becomes the character. Oh I wouldn’t want to rant more on that.
