Chabacano de Zamboanga y de Cavite
Just a few hours ago, I encountered a very interesting blog called Habla Chabacano. The said blog is about Cavite and it’s Chabacano. I found this amusing because I speak Chabacano de Zamboanga. As I read the posts in Habla Chabacano blog (which were partly in Chabacano), I quickly spotted the differences/similarities between Chabacano de Zamboanga y de Cavite

Glorietta 2 Bombing
Up until now, the authorities aren’t sure what caused the explosion. Some say it was a C4 bomb, some say it was a terrorist act. The Palace hasn’t said anything yet but by the looks of it, they would wait for the PNP to finish their investigation. We’ll good luck about that. For Sen. Trillanes, the AFP Chief and the Nat’l Security Adviser were behind this one to, once again, save their Queen and her Wonderland. After Hello Garci, the still unresolved ‘Extrajudicial Killings’, the Fertilizer Scam, the ZTE, NBN and Cyber Ed Deals with China, and her latest pay-off with 190 Congressmen in the Palace, the administration is in need of another scapegoat. Of course, these are unfounded hypotheses; anyone is free to say what they want at this point in time. But doesn’t it scare you if this particular theory is true?
We know PGMA wants the Constitution changed (not that she hasn’t in recent years), that she wants the shift to Parliamentary and that she so desperately clamors for power even if her kingdom doesn’t like her. Why would anyone force themselves on others? That’s just plain insensitive. I pity her and sorry troops for marching on as they do; greedy and hungry for everything against moral standards. It’s like reading a story about a man who searches for the elixir of life, the legendary drink that can make him immortal. He doesn’t want to leave this world because he’s got money and power and youth; in other words, he’s secure in this world. But what about when he dies, his soul? I guess I’m going extreme here, but it almost feels like PGMA is holding on to power like she lives for it and nothing else. She’s blinded by the glitz and corruption politics has given her and serving the people was lost long, long ago. It’s absurd to think that PGMA and other corrupt people out there are satisfied by doing ‘great’ in politics e.g. having prime government positions, kickbacks and some zombie-like goons to do their bidding. Are they thinking that being politicians in this country entitles them to be Gods?
And do I smell another Oakwood Mutiny coming together very soon? Because if the bomb that caused this is indeed a C4 bomb, then even the military could have access to it. Believe it or not, the terrorists and the opposition are not the only ones who want to take down PGMA’s illegitimate government. And the G2 tragedy could be just one of the many incidents to come and prove this.
Crappy Marketing Practices II: Metrowealth
When I got home, my aunt informed me that she paid a P100 deposit on a stove. I was “asked” to pay for the rest of the amount. Guess how much that was.
The freakin’ stove cost P13000! (Around $260).
At the Metrowealth store, I got to talk to the saleswoman:
She: You can add to your initial deposit.
Me: Like I said, I don’t have money right now.
She: How much do you have? You can give that to me.
Me: No.
She: How about credit card?
Me: I didn’t bring it with me.
She: Well, I can go with you back to your house, and you can pay me there.
Me: What? We just got here! We haven’t even looked around yet.
She: You can look around then I can accompany you guys home.
Me: No!
She: Come on, let me see your house!
Me: I live in Tondo! There’s nothing to see there! Geez.
She: You can pay me P500 right now, so you can charge just P8000 to your card to get the items.
Me: What’s the difference whether I pay now or pay next week?! Why the hell are you badgering me? God, you’re irritating!
She: Oh. Am I irritating?
Me: Yes!
Filteany- Halloween on the 6 train
Halloween Night on the 6 Train
A New Yorker lies down on the wooden floor,
So weary, so tired, she could think no more;
so she fell asleep with strength in bane
Dreams that she rode on a clean Manhattan bound train.
The boiler was filled with eerie fear
And George Bush himself was the engineer;
The passengers were Motley Crue
She does not have a single * ing clue
GQ men in Gucci cloth, with tails they seem to wag
Gargoyle looking women and one like a rich old hag
Everyone choo- choos with all their might
In the train of Bush oh my! What a horrible sight!
The train rustles on a bloody clueless pace
Bush, with his devilish grin and foot in the mouth face;
Wider and longer…….www.filteany.com
Halloween is just around the corner.

President Arroyo’s Statement on Glorietta Blast
What follows is the statement of President Gloria M. Arroyo regarding the blast yesterday at Glorietta mall, Makati.
The explosion happened at around 1:20pm at the area near the Luk Yuen tea house. I was deeply worried and I immediately called all my staff and friends who I know frequent the area. Thank goodness, everyone was safe. But I feel sad for the victims who died and the wounded. This is simply atrocious.

The mistake of stereotyping mothers
Being a single mother carries with it a stigma that is hard to shake off. Most of the time, they are either thought of as flirty and even promiscuous women.
Being a working mother, on the other hand, often commands admiration and respect.
And most of the time, mothers are seen as saints, martyrs and saviours of society.
I can’t say I do not agree, being a mother myself. I would love to think that being a mother makes me noble but the reality is I am not a saint.

It has nothing to do with the Glorietta Mall Blast Explosion… I just feel bad for days and stuffs… ![]()
18th of October supposed to be the 7th month anniversary of me and my tar… I have to admit that he was never the kind of man who remembers everything about “US” – he was never the sweet one though he used to be one…
We started out as friends. I was his confidante, his friend, and I was the only person whom he trusted with his deep dark secrets. I was the one who listens to all his heart problems. I was even the one who taught him that “Time will heal all his wounds.”
Whenever he’s hurting it’s me who’s beside him. I did give him my shoulder for him to cry on. There were a lot of times that he feels like shit and unworthy to be loved. But I made him feel that maybe that one person he fell in love with isn’t the right one for him…
Have You Said Thank You Yet?
Today is National Thank You Day, the first of its kind in the country. Spearheaded by Toblerone, the event was organized because of the Reader’s Digest survey finding ranking the Philippines as one of the least courteous countries in the world.
The campaign includes a concert at Mall of Asia today, blog posts soliciting creative ways of saying Thank You, etc. Anton of Our Awesome Planet goes further with the launch of the Thank You Art Project.
