Featuring my EMO blogs
IN MY BAGUIO sojourn, there are three things I wish I could still have in my life here in Manila. Those who lived in Baguio would certainly agree with me, 100%. These include my unforgettable and treasured memories of Maryhurst garden, the flowers of Baguio and indolent weekend strolls amidst the afternoon drizzles.
When I went to Baguio recently, I have reminisced about the good life I once had while in Baguio. With nothing to do during weekends, and with depression creeping in after college, I spent weekend afternoons with long walks while contemplating about my work, thinking about the ‘could-have-beens’ about many things, and life as a whole. I just love the drizzles slowly wetting my skin. This experience made me shiver in cold but I just loved the way these tiny drops fell on my face. The cool wind that comes with it just made me so refreshed and relieved of loneliness and fatigue after a week of work and studies. Starting from Session Road, down to Leonard Wood Road, up to Gibraltar, I end up at the Mines View Park and stare at the endless Antamok ranges. On many occasions, I would go to Camp John Hay just walking and enjoy the cool pine scent, the humming of the wind and sprawling greens that sometimes I found myself lying on the dried pine needles, and catch a nap afterwards.

Hookers
“Gusto mo ng babae?” The lady asked the man walking in front of me.
Class extended until 9:30pm and I was forced to take a jeep instead of the LRT from Katipunan to EDSA. From EDSA, I would have to take a bus instead of my usual MRT. To cross to EDSA’s southbound lane, I went up the dim Cubao footbridge where I found a number of people loitering. Among them were women.
Starlight, Starbucks!

Rebuild of Evangelion

To everyone who loves Evangelion, this superb Gainax production is set to release the 2nd movie part of it’s tetralogy on January 2008. The first movie part, Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, was released last September 2007 in Japan and as expected, it went straight up to No.1. The first three movies are said to be newer and better versions of the anime series but the fourth movie will hold a new conclusion for this story.

LOMOMANILA celebrates another year of creativity with LOMOLOVE TOO!
LomoManila
presents
Lomography has taken the country by storm! Thanks to LomoManila, a local photography group advocating a new form of photography rooted in individuality and freedom of expression, Lomography has recently captured the imagination of Filipinos from all walks of life.
This November 10 to December 1, 2007, LomoManila celebrates this triumph with LomoLove Too!, a repeat of last year’s successful exhibit LomoLove at the BlackSoup Projects Artspace in Cubao Expo. This time, the exhibit is bigger, noisier, crazier and filled with anything and everything lomo.

Marianette: without seeing the dawn
I HAVE ALWAYS been reading Inquirer.Net. I browsed through the news but never really paid attention to this article because I was rushing a project proposal on a project related to poverty alleviation. It is a shame on my part to have missed this! I am a psychology graduate and could have been interested in depression and suicide! Shame on me for being self-declared anti-poverty worker for not paying attention on this news!
Now I have come to terms after watching the news in ABS-CBN and GMA 7. I feel better now. As a social development worker, I learned the hard way not to be overly romantic about my work so that I can be objective and more effective in my work. In this case, I could not do anything but, again, feel for their loss.
No, I am not going to campaign for flowers this time. Neither will I ask you to post a photo of a bike for Manette, nor blog anything on poverty alleviation, nor against the government.
