Lions for Lambs
Lions for Lambs, though a work of fiction, is a commentary about the war on terror which America is presently engaged in. It presents varying opinions on the subject and encourages the viewer to take a stand.
The senator portrayed by Tom Cruise represents the politicians of America who battle in the war against terrorism in the safety of their offices. He is presented as an ambitious senator who, though skilled in intelligence, lacks experience in the frontlines. He uses the war on terror to advance his personal agenda.

How NOT to Get a Starbucks 2008 Planner
For the last 2 years, I’ve had the opportunity to get a Starbucks Planner but failed to do so.
Each year, Starbucks issues a card sometime in November which when completed entitles the bearer to a Starbucks Planner. To complete the card, a customer needs to get 24 stickers. Each sticker is equivalent to either a regular beverage or the limited edition one.
The reasons why I failed are as follows.
Hide and Seek
I am not impressed with the movie Hide and Seek. The story was about a professor, who after being cleared by the court of rape and slay charges, moved his family to a house in a province. The house was being haunted by a husband who murdered his wife and accidentally killed his child. The three showed themselves to the professor’s family. In the end, when the ghost of the murdering husband was about to kill the professor, he was prevented from doing so by former’s daughter.
I was hoping for more chilling scenes. But only a few predictable scenes moved me from my seat but not that much. Rating 1-5 with 5 absolutely to watch, i’ll give it a 2.

Hard Drive Failure–Can I Save It?
Apparently, my Maxtor drive died. I’m still looking into ways to fix it, but at the moment, I’m declaring it dead. Along with my X drive.
I just bought X recently, about 2 weeks ago. It’s a 320Gb Seagate drive (PATA) and I planned to dedicate it to music. It’s an internal HDD inside an external case. So far it had about 200+ Gb of music already.
I’m going to write about what happened in case someone else has a better idea.
I mentioned that I’m also taking proofreading and editing a paper for someone. But I was too lazy to sit on my behind and I decided to do it on my laptop like I did with the first draft. I saved the draft on X because I set it as download default since that was what I’ve been downloading lately–catching up on music I missed for the past few months. And X was on share.
So I was trying to access the draft over WAN and it said the drive was inaccessible. I’ve been getting I/O Device errors before so I thought that that might be affecting it, so I moved my lazy behind to the desktop and checked what was happening. I tried accessing X and it kept saying that it was inaccessible. There was another error but I forgot what it was.
I figured that maybe a reboot would help, so I rebooted.
A company of your own
So whats that suppose to mean?
This has been my previous learnings from my 3 year stint in the HR arena. You have to be a company of your own.
I’d like to share this self taught learning reinforced by various readings to fellow job seekers out there. Actually I’m still actively looking for a new skill and challenge to embrace hopefully a big one to a new company (BPO preferred).
Job seekers should think like a company or act like a company equipped with the latest tools and competencies for you to be marketable enough to customers around. And who are these customers? Employers of course.
Fresh from college? So how do you guys market yourselves? Well mostly fresh grads usually brag their diploma’s, grades and licenses but I tell you some employers don’t care about these stuffs because past performance cannot guarantee them that your worth the investment though some schools of thought would still agree that it’s a good source of information on how you’ll perform in the long run.
So what then really counts if you don’t belong to those classroom brainiacs of your time?
Virtual collaboration
Virtual collaboration
Virtual collaboration has been a hottest online strategy being adopted by web start-ups since the dawn of the dot-coms. This has been also an effective tool on my part since it gave me the benefits of knowing more go-to guys in my category “webeprenuers”. If you’re a start-up who lacks funding in terms of financial and knowledge then collaboration or strategic alliances are good options to consider. This strategy has been proven by top web performer and could get you to where you wanted to go.
I’ve been doing virtual collaborations since the past two years before concentrating on a core project. Collaborations P2P & B2B for future benefit would really be good if you’re looking forward to building your won virtual empire. Success of this kind of initiative is dependent upon its execution and management for you to allocate the needed resources effectively. Managing alliances is so crucial that if you’ll neglect this part you’ll soon notice that you’re screwing your potential to be a force to reckon with. Worst, if you don’t know whom your collaborating with and what benefit would your start-up idea be getting, then you’ll still end up in a dustbin. So I would suggest you fully evaluate their capabilities and sitting to it that their services would give value to your users experience. Read more..
Mission Statements
Mission Statements
Mission statements are important when you’re up to something big. Mission statements are easy to materialize but hard to realize. Mission statements should set of missions from individual person up to the organization in general. The hard part of this is how you align those individual missions according to the organization’s mission in general.
Mission statements are sometimes vague if you’re a start up. But generally, mission statements are all directed to profit though some would sugar coat it as “towards a rewarding user experience” that is service oriented sites tends to innovate all the time to give their users and guest a rewarding experience. This is like a garden analogy. We don’t want this guys just come on go without staying a little bit longer at our gardens. This is also one proven fact that users can’t find one site that offers various features that suits every persons needs. In this case we build higher walls add more flowers and flood them with very powerful and useful features. Just like google etc. who keeps on acquiring merging and innovating to address that gap.
