One More Chance

“She’s with me at my worst.  You had me at my best.  But you chose to break my heart.”  Words (not exactly verbatim) came out from Popoy when Basia asked him na “ako na lang, ako na lang muli.”

There a lots of lessons to be learned from this movie.  Being a control freak and not allowing your partner to decide on her/his own could ruin a relationship.  Also sometimes we must get hurt for us to realize something, to grow, to mature.  We could only truly love if we learned to love ourselves.  Only mature people could enter a lasting relationship. Also, I learned from Popoy there is this 3 month rule.  After a breakup, one should not accept or court within 3 months.  That is something new!

Popoy and Basia were planning to get married after being lovers for 5 years.  They were also officemates.  However, Basia felt so choked by the controlling Popoy and decided to leave the company and Popoy.  She was fortunate to find another job and started to live out a career she truly enjoyed.  Popoy got devastated.  But he was saved by a singer who became her girlfriend and just recently celebrated their monthsary.

Basia could not hide her jealousy and confessed to Popoy that she still loved him.  Popoy was torn apart but later on decide to choose his true love.  They talked. Instead of getting back quickly, Popoy accepted a 2 year job in Qatar to find the old Popoy in him.  After that, of course, the movie ended up nicely.
