The reason why I don’t like Blogspot.com
Posted by mrloo on November 21, 2007 · 4 Comments
I guess some of the bloggers out there will react with my post title, especially the bloggers from blogspot. I don’t hate Blogspot.com because the truth is I have blogs that are hosted by it. I guess, it’s the blog owners choice why it was customized like that. Here are some of the reasons: 1. Only bloggers with blogspot account can make comments.
Come on you blogspot bloggers out there. The best way to make our blogs interactive is to have comments right? Unless you don’t want other bloggers or visitors opinion on your blog posts. This is also a way to promote your blogs url. If I am visitor on your site and I don’t have a blogspot account nor a google mail account, why would I bother to register just to leave a comment? You know what I’ll do? I will leave your blog ASAP! 2. Line spacing between pharagraph.
Another one is when I write a post in blogspot, the line spacing between pharagraph gives me a headache. I know that I made the right spaces but when I hit the preview button, it doesn’t show the right spaces. DUH! When that happens, I just want to pound my keyboard because of frustratiohs. I hope blogspot can add a feature of line spacing where you can specify if you want single or double spaces on your post. Like what Microsoft Word does. That’s all I think for now, but if you have something you don’t like about blogspot please leave a comment. Please note that I have nothing against Blogspot.com, like what I’ve said – I even use it. cheers ya’ll.

on your point #1, you can enable anyone to comment on your blog, even without a Blogspot account. Here’s a tutorial.
It is possible for anyone to comment on blogspot. Just choose the option “other” or “anonymous” if you don’t have a Blogger account. HTH
hi marghill, there’s no need for a tutorial. Because what I said was it’s the blog owner who chosed that option of having only comments with google mail account.
The point here is, if you are a blogger….activate that option to have a wider commenters.
hi geri, you are definitely right, but that will only happen when the blog owner activate that option.
Comments on my blog are welcome guys.
hehehe
i love blogspot. it allows me to post google ads easily hehe and the widgets are easy to use and setup. im sure wordpress is great too… but im loyal to blogger as i have been using it since 2001
i hope they would introduce more bad ass templates though. im pretty bored with what i have and too lazy to upgrade to a new template as it oftens requires further tweaking. anyway. thanks for sharing your thoughts! enjoyed it
