This Time It’s Synergy One International

Remember that it was only recently that I received a call from one of those allegedly MLM companies trying to â€œrecruitâ€ me in their â€œrapidly expanding programâ€.

Today, I got the call for the second time around 8:30 p.m.Â And you know what?Â It was the first time, I think, I felt excited to be receiving a call from a stranger.Â Itâ€™s an opportunity to play again.Â

The person who called was a certain Ms. Vera or Venus Lazo (Iâ€™m not so sure about the first name but I know it starts with a V.Â But Iâ€™m dead sure about the last name).Â She spoke in a mix of English and Filipino.Â Of course, I tried to be nice initially so that I could encourage the person on the other end to talk more freely.

And then the all too familiar lines begun.

I asked her where she got my number.Â She said I was recommended by a â€œheadhunterâ€ company (I wonder why they keep using these buzz words.Â It gives them away so easily).Â I asked for the name of the headhunter company.Â She replied that it was a company whose building is located somewhere in Makati (Duh?Â She canâ€™t even say the exact name and location of the company sheâ€™s doing business with).
