This is a quote from the movie “Kamikaze Girls†by the Japanese author, Novala Takemoto. I highly regard the film’s captivating visual imagery and the truth it exposes. There are things in life that we should need but we often do not realize because we are scared. I belong to this group, people who are afraid of accepting things the way they are. Rationalizing every detail in my life is always my way to keep me from being vulnerable. Unmasking myself is taboo to me thus even the people who know me for years point out the fortress I built around me.
