Keeping Myself Afloat This Holiday Season
Based on people’s twits, it is obvious that a lot are in a good mood nowadays because of the holiday season. Wrapping presents, attending parties, preparing to go on vacation, writing online about Christmas…these are but some of the activities that people are recently engaged in. I also enjoy doing these things, as these are part of the tradition of the season. However, most of the time, I think I’m two beings, one person doing all of these mechanically, and another one just observing everything from afar, detached.
I have to say that I’m not that all happy this holiday season. And this is, for most part, because I’m not that happy staying here at home. Though I’m happy to be finally spending the holidays at home after four years of being on duty during Christmas and the New Year, I’m not much enthusiastic to be staying here.
Thomas the Tank Engine
I think majority of those who enjoy the holiday season are kids. The reasons are many – there’s vacation from school, lot of parties, lots of delicious food and yummy desserts, not to mention the tons of gifts they anticipate to get.
Globe’s Christmas Gift to It’s Unlitxt Subscribers
I tried to register with Globe’s Unlitxt20 so that I can greet my friends in advance. I was dismayed to receive this response from 2870.
“Sorry, we cannot process your request at this time. Please try again within 24hrs. Why not call ur loved ones with Globe.s Kada-segundo? Just dial 232+10digit Globe mobile phone number for Php.10/sec.”
I don’t know why telecoms, which have been generating millions, if not billions, of revenues each year would deprive their subscribers of such small favor esp. this season. What could possibly be their motive to prevent us from subscribing to Unlitxt today? Haven’t they met their budget yet for the year?

Naga launches festival of shepherds’ tales
By Jujemay G. Awit
Sun.Star Staff Reporter
THE year 2007 is a milestone year for Naga.
Even as it became a city, it also honored its traditions by officially launching its own festival, the Pastores de Naga.
Pastores de Naga depicts the shepherds’ retelling of Joseph and Mary’s journey to find a birthing place for the Savior, according to the Christian tradition.
The story is told through songs and dances. In between songs, the presenters tell the story in a poetic manner.
Lesser Street Crimes in Metro Manila This Holiday

The Philippine National Police has claimed that street crimes in the metro dropped this Christmas season as compared to the previous years.
Improved visibility on the streets of our policemen is said to be the main reason of this significant drop in crime rates, according to PNP chief Director General Avelino Razon Jr.
Together with thePNP, the Armed Forces of the Philippines is also helping in patrolling the streets of Metro Manila through their “Metro Mamang Pulis at Kasundaluhan†joint anti-criminality campaign.
Pinay Scandal and Pinoy Scandal
From my recent post, we can now have an overview of web users around the globe searching for specific search keywords from Google networks.
Yes, Google is watching. Google servers watches each and every search histories from Google search engines made by any web users around the world. All these search queries from Google are all recorded and translated into a useful information. In fact, they are consistently recorded and gradually translated as comparative graph. Google named this feature as Google Trends.
And oh, Google Trends can support keyword trend’s statistics comparatively. This basically means Google Trend site can accept two keyword inputs separated by a comma for head to head graph comparison and displays this graph differences against the demand search number and trend year as X and Y axis respectively.

Balanga Gov’t Site Hacked
City of Balanga website hacked!
Yep, just another website recently counted to the list of hacked Philippine government websites. And I happen to capture it right in front of my very hot coffee. I was really shocked and amazed though its not my first time to capture such hacked site around the web. Luckily, a PrintScreen stroke immediately gave me a copy of the defaced City of Balanga website.
Click the below defaced website to enlarge it.
