How to highlight your application online.

“Just be creative if you want to highlight your application and get the chance to be interviewed first.” This was my answer to a certain job seekers’ question on how to highlight his application.

There are so many gimmicks you can do just to highlight yourself and your application but please don’t go beyond the extremes to prevent bad impressions.

Follow up by phone. As an example on how to highlight your application is to make a follow up call but this could irritate employers if you keep on calling them about the status of your application. Worst, this approach is totally conventional and could not possibly give you the edge to stand out from the rest of the applicants because of its negative impact to recruiters aside from it’s time consuming entertaining calls in between deadlines.
