What’s the True Speed of Smart’s Internet Connection?

I am really frustrated with Smart’s internet connection using the mobile phone as modem. I tried using Smart internet via 3G and my connection was always cut. Then I tried using GPRS and was infuriated by the slow browsing on my screen. To think that the Smart’s internet connection was supposedly 460.8 kbps, it was a true disservice to me. If compared to my dial-up connection of 33.6 kbps, the latter was a little bit faster and I’m paying less than Smart’s P10 per 30 minutes rate. I don’t know if others have experienced it. If you know some tricks to make it work, do share.

I don’t see what I’m doing wrong since I was able to connect. It’s just that what was reflected as kbps is not true. Oh, I tried to call their customer hotline and as usual, it seemed it would take years before they answer me that I had to hang up.
