Indoor Grill

Familiar with indoor grill? As far as i know, the way that the grills work is that it has a grate that allows the fats and juices from the meat fall into the grate and away from the meat. This way the meat doesn’t sit in its own fat and cook.In a way this will save you some fat, but it’s the same as cooking it on a regular grill. It is however more healthy than cooking it in a pan. The reason they “take out fat” is because the grill is tilted at a downward angle, making all the grease run off the grill and onto a “catch platter” (to be thrown away).

I like my george foreman because its easy to clean and I can grill year round. Anyway… it’s no different than any other grill because the fat will just drip off between the grates of a regular grill, so its really your choice of outdoors or indoors :) When i grill chicken on the george foreman i’ll grill it for about 15 minutes, then cover it in BBQ then bake it for 20 minutes. It is aweseome. If you want to know more about indoor grill then do visit wize.com

Half-swing

The rally to support our Pinoy Jedi Knight a.k.a. Jun Lozada at the Paseo de Roxas in Makati City was a sight to behold.

Why?

(1) because it contradicted the ’small’ number approximated by the PNP;

(2) because no trapo was there to gaze the stage with their cries for personal glory;

(3) because there was a convergence of the middle class, the students, the holy community, militant groups and the ordinary people; and

(4) because the protest did what they were supposed to: to let the administration know of their grievances.

The down side though is that, as if wanting to look busy with economic reforms and stuff, the President didn’t seem concerned. She was adamant that she will finish her term by 2010 and, speaking today at the Makati Shangrila for the Economic Briefing, said that she was ‘on top’ of the NBN Deal Scandal.

Keihl’s lip balm

I was excited when I read that Keihl’s was opening a boutique in Manila. They are known for their skincare targeted solutions similar to how Mario Badescu has their line of products. Their lip balms are also very famous among beauty addicts such as myself. And because my lips do not cooperate with lipsticks, I got myself the one with SPF 15 and Hue 58B. This lip balm is also a sheer lip gloss with cool red tones.

Classic Confections

Happy Valentines Day to all the couples, lovers, singles and not so single people out there. Whether you are celebrating hearts day or like me, just looking for an excuse to celebrate, then go out to Greenbelt 5 and drop by Classic Confections.

The small sweet shop is a perfect addition to the posh Greenbelt 5 mall where shops like Banana Republic will soon at. The store had blue and brown interiors that somehow made me think of the word “yummy”. The place was small and cozy which was great except when there are more several customers inside. If the tables are all occupied and you had several other customers waiting in line at the cashier, it created some sort of cramped chaotic mess.

How to Quit Being a Ninja

Are you getting tired of all the shit that ninjas have to put up with just to get through the day? People cross the street when they see you walking. Dogs hate you because they can never sense whenever you’re near. The Pirate kids down the street keep egging your house while shouting “We’re way cooler than you!”

Then your neighbors are always updating their state of the art home security systems (which never succeeds in stopping you from sneaking in and “borrowing” some stuff like sugar, milk, and kidneys). It’s hard for you to find a place to stay because your roommates have a tendency of disappearing on you. You can’t even find a date because the Ninja Code you live by prohibits you from uploading your real pic in your Friendster profile page:

So we’re here to help you to leave your Ninja ways behind and successfully to assimilate yourself into society. Below is a short list of scenarios designed to point you toward the right direction in a happier existence with the people around you.

Signs of the Times

Groucho Marx once said that politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies. Unless the apologetic politician is bound to do more harm than doing any good, trouble can never be far behind. And trouble is what this government has been itching to scratch off its back, to no avail. In fact, its inability to lure good faith to its side has done the exact opposite as trouble has now become a swollen fruit in its backyard. Harvest season won’t be much of a spectacle either for the Palace people who continue to farm those who refuse to side with them and those who continue to hurl javelins at them. Even the acceptance of the lesser evil of all evils won’t make their remorse any brighter and appealing to the sensible and morally upright individual. Apparently, the government is adamant at beseeching more trouble, and some of the members of the Makati Business Club have heeded the signs of the times.
