The Last Promise by Richard Paul Evans
I have just finished reading the book of Richard Paul Evans entitled The Last Promise. It actually took me a while to finish this particular book which is uncharacteristic of me because I usually take just a few days to finish a paperback or a few hours if I read uninterrupted.
The book to me was dragging in the early pages but I think that is because I have been used to the fast paced storytelling of crime and suspense authors. Towards the end however, I had a difficult time putting it down. Since I read just before I sleep, I stayed up late a lot just to get another page in.
Sacramento Kings cheerleaders demands your attention
On top is one of those racy photos of the awesome Sacramento Kings cheerleaders taken by Matt Ufford at WithLeather.com and posted the photos earlier this weekthat involves Summer, Becca, Candace, Camille, Carly, Katie and Krystal, your 2008 Sacramento Kings dance team cheerleaders of which are “demanding your attention“.
The hot Sacramento Kings Dance Team was photographed in their panties, swigging alcohol, kissing girls, mooning the camera, and assorted other debauchery at late night parties of which a local newspaper.
Praying for Truth and Justice
Â
I was passing by the college’s oblation square on my way out of school yesterday afternoon when I came across Dr. Rhodora Bucoy, the adviser of the UP Cebu College Student Council when I was its chairman, and Dr. Cherry Ballescas, my social sciences teacher during my first year in college.
They were about to begin a prayer gathering for truth and justice which was an answer to the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines’ call for communal action in the wake of Rodolfo Lozada’s damning testimonies against the Arroyo administration. (10,000 gathered in Makati. Also, the Black and White Movement has an online petition in its website).
Of course, I did not pass the chance to chat with my two esteemed professors and join the small group of fifteen people who were mostly members of a Christian-based campus organization.
I thought that by helping to overcome the general trend of apathy and the cynicism of the intellectual class in the face of the machinations and blatant disregard of the Arroyo administration for the truth and human dignity, we make not only our history but more importantly, etch a new chapter in the history of the human struggle for freedom, solidarity and social justice.

SanFo Treats caramel apples
Even if I am named Apples, I am not a fan of the fruit. If I had a choice, I would either have banana, strawberry or mango. I think caramel apples are the answer to this aversion.
Baby Bassinets
Looking for baby bassinet?
I felt that a bassinet was a good option in the beginning when your baby wake up all the time. You can put the bassinet right next to you and comfort the baby without having to get up. Also when babies are newborn the are used to being all cozy in utero so the smaller dimensions of a bassinet can be comforting.
There is nothing wrong, however, with going straight to the crib. I put my children in a bassinet in my room until they were each 3 months old (about the time they are too big for it) and then we moved them to their own rooms in a crib. Mine is very simple, it is on wheels and has a cubby underneath for diapers, and such, it is also white so that it is for a boy or a girl. I always put my kids to bed in the bassinet, never in my bed, so switching them to a crib was very easy!
The Limbs that Defied a Government
Yesterday, almost 10,000 citizens gathered along the streets of Paseo de Roxas and Ayala avenue in protest of the aborted $329 million ZTE-NBN scandal. Flanks of people of different shapes and sizes stormed the Makati area armed with banners and the fervent belief that they have had enough. And in case you’re wondering, the Visayas and Mindanao regions also have their share in the protests the same day. Whoever said that a national sentiment won’t ripple across the geographic boundaries must either be entirely mistaken or a gullible fool, or perhaps a bit of both worlds. But among the thousands of angered sheeps that flocked to Makati, Roel Balao and Antonio Lachica struck me the most.

Citizen Journalism: An Interview
Sharing you the questions that Laarni Jordan of FEU gave me before follows are my answers on the topic of Citizen Journalism:
1. What can you say about Citizen Journalism? Can you give a brief description of its definition and aspects involve.- Citizen Journalism is how the audience became the journalist by the use or rich media, internet and other platforms.

WikiPilipinas Filipina Stories, A Contest
I am supporting this endeavor in raising the image of Filipinas all over the world, specially in the net. Help spread the word
From Noemi’s blog,
“Dine, Gus Vibal, founder of WikiPilipinas, his staff and I met up last week to discuss ways to support their first online Encyclopedia of Philippine Women that they started in WikiPilipinas.org. I believe Gus is truly sincere in his WikiPilipinas’ vision to be “the largest Philippine knowledge databaseâ€. I mean, Gus pratically invested a lot on WikiPilipinas. (A few sponsors helped though). Dine, Lorna, myself and most of you will agree that we all want to raise the profile of the Filipinas, and be part of a larger movement in uplifting the status of Philippine women. I believe that WikiPilipinas is sincere in their mission as we all are.Â
