Between Paper and Pinoys

If there’s anything clear and indubitable in the early morning episode of “Harapan” aired by ABS-CBN, it must be the fact that the lines were more clearly drawn between those who believe in Lozada and those who believe in all the queen’s men. This goes without saying that the lines became more pronounced than before, apart from the fact that certain sectors in the society are more than willing to support Jun Lozada, which also goes without saying that they are more than willing to abandon the defenses of Abalos, Razon, Dee and the rest of the bigwigs allegedly involved in the ZTE-NBN anomaly.

Abalos took the effort of bringing sets of documents in his live television face-off with Lozada. It seems that Abalos has been doing his assignments recently, which can be taken either as a good thing or otherwise. For one, it is a good thing because it may, though not necessarily, aid in hastening the resolution of the present conflict which besets not only those involved in the NBN controversy but the rest of the nation. And thus ultimately sending behind bars the crooks who are no less than big fat liars. On the other hand, it may be a bad thing, giving one the impression that Abalos is too engrossed in parading selected documents just to salvage his reputation from what can be one of the greatest disappointments in the history of this nation. But of course, Abalos has all the rights to do so, to defend his side amid the wrath of an outraged public.
