Toshiba Officially Confirms Death of HD-DVD
The high definition media war is finally over and Toshiba’s HD-DVD finally raises the white flag. Toshiba said it would stop promoting its HD DVD format for the next-generation DVD after losing the support of key studios and retailers to the Blu-ray technology backed by Sony.
Overall, 730,000 units were sold worldwide and majority is in the US which 300,000 of those are Xbox 360 HD DVD drives. Microsoft’s PR Team already sent out a statement regarding these developments and the rumors about an Xbox 360 Blu-ray add on.
When The Need For Moderation Arises
For the longest time I’ve held that the comments section should remain free because I believe that it is more effective in encouraging an open discussion, which is what blogging should be all about. I love getting comments because I see it as opportunities to understand diverse opinions. Some may feel differently as they do not welcome opposing views, finding that those who do give those opposing views offensive. For many times I’ve argued with Arbet, Ederic, and Jon on many different things, but I do not find them offensive because the arguments were presented against my arguments, not against my person. That’s just the big difference between arguing and quarreling.
But some people, apparently, fail to distinguish between the two.
I think the first time I’ve experienced that in my blog was when I posted about an actor’s daughter and her idiocy. Flamers left some rude comments in my shoutbox, perhaps afraid that they might be identified if they leave comments in the comments section. Other instances included:
- My post on Malu Fernandez
- My MLM posts (here and here)
- Coke’s Biggest Surprise post
As I’ve always said, those who leave the most scathing comments dare not identify themselves.

The True Source of Love
The very over rated Valentine’s Day is finally over. Whew! I survived! My day went fine, I cooked breakfast for my self, Daing and Tuyo, nothing beats Filipino breakfast! the best!! :p I ate alone which is totally fine. :p it was fulfilling. :p I made breakfast for my mom too! She was drunk from her Valentine’s day shindug with tita duday so I opted to bring her breakfast in bed! :p (best daughter award goes to me!)
Moving on, I was late for my MS lecture due to some unperceived events. I was irritated with the thought of it. I spent my morning crying because I was late.  C’mon you’re crazy if you think that I really cried because I was late for class. Who does that? I just cried my heart out, cried till I looked stupid and undeniably pathetic. i just cired my long over due tears, what a release! The late part was just a precursor and I’m sorry again for using you (the person who caused my tardiness) as my outlet. Sa buhay ko un lang ata talaga pakinabang mo. Hehehe! I love you for that. I just didn’t like the yelling part. oh well, napikon ka lang din siguro. Bati na tayo kasi nilibre mo naman ako ng Valentine’s day lunch! :p
Prison Break getting a season 4
“We are working on trying to figure out a story arc for season 4 and how it would all play out, etc. while not leaving things hanging from season 3. I am confident we will get another season. There are no guarantees, but I’d be shocked if it didn’t happen.†Nick Santora said.
As we all know this guy Nick Santora is the WRITER AND CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of the hit Fox drama, Prison Break, Nick Santora is a born-and-bred New Yorker. Since arriving in California, Nick has written and/or produced for several television series such as The Sopranos, Law & Order and The Guardian.
The President’s Last Song Syndrome
When a tune continuously ripples through you ears for days and nights even at the comfort of silence, you get the strange feeling that the tune is either a mantra or another manifestation of Lito Camo’s—God or Allah forbid—musical taste. Worse, when a tune gets resurrected in your ears after staying dormant for a couple of weeks or months, you get the strange feeling that you are either wanting of a medical check-up or, at the least, in dire need of some good old fashioned cotton buds to scrape-off that slab of wax. But what could be worse than a government trying to resurrect an old tune buried in the catacombs which may have already gathered dust and grime, all in the efforts of diverting the ears of those who wither the pain of listening to what could be the worst tune of all history?
The alleged plot to slay GMA is not something unheard of, which goes without saying that those who continue to play that tune are themselves lacking of a taste for music. Unlike the typical Camosian “spaghetting pababa, pababa ng pababa” or “boom tarat tarat”, the government’s tune of resurfacing the alleged plot to assassinate the president simply refuses to die a natural death, or at least blend and ebb with the southern winds like the generosity of the foul air sifting through one’s rear hole. It is perhaps the worst signal that the options have run dry for the government in diverting public attention. Indeed, it is the ranting of a government that wants to compete with Camosian music in the most loose use of the term “music”.
