Can Philippine Textbooks be written in WordPress?

Proper education is one of the most important but most neglected needs in the Philippines. 

Can we use blogging software like WordPress to write textbooks? We all know schoolchildren barely have any access to proper educational materials and using digital media can help correct this problem.

Can blogging software like WordPress can also be useful in initiatives such as this?

    I think that Wiki websites are more appropriate for a textbook than a blog.
    See Wikipedia: it has the same structure than a textbook.

    I wonder if Wikipedia could be used as a textbook as is or if it needs modifications ?
