Entrecard Do Follow Principle

Always remember that we are avoiding the high bounce rate just like the “hotshots” are talking about. “Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others do unto you.” Don’t just drop just because you want to return the favor. See the profile… Check the drop rank… Check the blog’s category… Then check on the blog before dropping your card. You might find an article that interests you wherein you might also want to comment. The basic idea here is not to follow only, but to develop a good relationship to the co-members of entrecard social network. Having a “You Drop, I Follow” button on your site is a wise thing to do, but you can also make your own button or titled your widget as “You Drop, I Follow” just like what I did on my site.

Who doesn’t need entrecard credits?

On Campus Politics and Other Notes

untitled.jpgIt’s the last full week of my favorite month of the year and it’s Student Council election time in our college again. I see a major shakeup with the present party in the majority’s failure to voice out and serve the interests of the studentry. I am predicting that what has become this school year’s minority party will reclaim the dominant position – assuming that it successfully exposes the failure of the party in the majority. That happens to be me – 2 years ago – wearing a cap in the picture, but this observation is objective.

Moving on, Scriptorium muses on old headlines from the mid ’80s, heroism and the prospects of reform today. Also, from Edicio dela Torre’s blog are three mindsets that prevent the transformation of discontent against the Arroyo government into actual protest actions:

Jun Lozada and Our Battered Nation

…we are all victims of the abuses made by the Arroyo administration to our battered nation.

And just like battered women who have successfully left their abusive husbands, so too must we say goodbye to the Arroyo administration. We must move away from our delusion that things will get better if we give them another chance. It’s time we come to the realization that this administration has put our nation in danger. We must say to ourselves, “We deserve better!”

We must force ourselves to take rational action and show our government that abuse of power is unacceptable and we will not tolerate it any longer. We have to show our support for Jun Lozada so that other witnesses can come out and tell their stories about the ills of the Arroyo administration.  Click here and continue reading…

Movie Review: Juno

This is not your ordinary teen flick. Juno is a wonderful, intelligent, and witty movie about awakenings, decisions, and relationships.

This film’s charm lies in the the realistic portrayal of characters. No spunky, beautiful high school girl on lead. The protagonist is a sarcastic yet sensitive wisecrack who can easily be tagged as a weirdo. Juno MacGruff (played by Ellen Page) decides that it’s time to explore sex and she does so with her classmate, Paulie Bleaker (Michael Cera). When she finds out that she’s pregnant she plays it cool and considers an abortion but she later decides to stay pregnant and give up her child to well-to-do couple Mark (Jason Bateman) and Vanessa (Jennifer Garner). The plan looks perfect but as it is in real life, things don’t always work out that way.

Cebu Blogger’s Meet Up!

Just yesterday I and a blog buddy decided a bloggers meet up for Cebu based bloggers. Actually, it all started in one of the forums (istorya.net) wherein a lot of guys were bragging about their adsense earnings. One is expecting $1,300 of adsense earnings for February and we all envy his acheivement. I wonder when and how can I earn that much, but rest assured I’ll be able to earn that one if i’ll go fulltime blogging. For a fact also is that I’m currently earning $700 for paid reviews but I wanted to hit adsense since its a great tool for new bloggers wherein they can really provide a very lucrative profit for part time bloggers.

As they all said content is king but traffic is king, and one traffic driver is SEO. This is what that guy emphasized. After all things have been set up like optimizing your blog and creating a pillar content, one has to work with SEO afterward, and this is where I fail and mostly fail. I don’t know how, I’m just limited with the keywords and everything. Thus, this so called first Cebu blogger’s meet up would be the key. We will be exchanging notes since most of us are all newbies and noobs.

Movie Review: My Best Friend’s Girlfriend (BFGF)

Poor girl meets rich guy. Enemies become lovers. The tacky lass morphs into a hot chic. A spoiled brat learns responsibility. An initial threat becomes the biggest life-changing opportunity ever. Make-believe turns into reality. Add the signature Marimar dance and a dozen product placements! Name an old trick, this movie probably has it!

Grace (Marian Rivera) the working student and Evo (Richard Gutierrez) the spoiled brat first collide when she dances at a stag party and he steals a kiss from her. They clash and hope to never see each other again. But that doesn’t happen. Grace’s boyfriend, Mark (JC de Vera,) introduces her to his best friend, who turns out to be Evo. Mark leaves for the US and Evo takes advantage of the opportunity to convince Grace to pose as his new girlfriend so that his Ex would get jealous. Otherwise, he’ll let Mark know about Grace’s gimmick at the stag party. We all know what happens next: They unexpectedly fall in love.

“Love comes in unexpected packages,” says the movie.

The irony is that there’s nothing beyond expectation in BFGF, not even love.
