Drudge Blew Away PRINCE HARRY’s Struggle in AFGHANISTAN.

Good job Drudge but ain’t you cross’n the line? Anyway, at least now the Talibans got another reason to push their adrenalin to the limit and take hold of this “item” and rule again.

Hospital: 5 injured in explosion at Illinois shopping plaza

Five people were taken to Vista Hospital, a spokesman there said.

Desiree Rogers, president of North Shore Gas Co., said their crews were turning off the gas lines into the mall in Waukegan so firefighters can search the rubble for anyone who may be trapped and begin trying to determine the cause of the blast.

BABY STEPS: From newborn to 12 months

You’ve bought the baby gear and labored over the nursery. And now here you are with a squealing, splotchy little person. For some moms, falling in love comes naturally. But for others, instant passion is the stuff of movies, not real life. If you’re feeling as nervous as you would before a blind date, don’t worry

Fisherman swims 10 hours to shore

A fisherman swam for more than 10 hours to find help for the two companions he left behind after their boat sank off the east coast of Australia.

The three fishermen were on board a trawler that sank about 15km (9 miles) off the east coast near Byron Bay. Hours later, fisherman Michael Williams crawled onto New Brighton Beach.

Gloria needs help

I wouldn’t know what to make of this picture.

First, it’s scary and second, it’s confusingly erroneous. I personally object to PGMA’s wearing of super bright colored clothes, especially for red, amidst catcalls to her like ‘bitch‘ and ‘evil‘ because it further strengthens the adjectives. Not that her face cannot portray enough deceit as it is. Its just that her clothes make her more ugly and unbearable.

If I were to read and understand this picture ala Humanities 2 style, I’d say she’s calling for help. Not to mortals though but to the heavens. I figure she wants to stay longer in this world to finish her projects for the poor and stuff. Yes, that must be it. Could you count the number of clergy surrounding her in the picture? Goodness me, even that many holy men cannot cleanse such a vile woman.

Eeespeak Eeengliss

Back in the early 80’s we were living with my in-laws. Their residence was at the second floor of their machine shop. It was a large household: my parents–in-law, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, five maids, two houseboys, my husband and I, my three girls and numerous transient relatives living together in one big roof. There was always a cacophony of sounds amid us: the noise of buses and jeeps traversing by the main road, the monotonous clanking of the numerous apparatus of the family’s bread and butter and the almost-always-angry like-shouting style of my husband’s kin and their more than fifty employees when speaking.

Their inflection, my in-laws’, my husband’s, the transient relatives’ and the whole community’s, was the pure unadulterated Cavite intonation. They talked loudly and frequently all at the same time. One has to strain to hear above the din. I was worried then that my girls will eventually acquire the accent and the vociferous manner of talking. What am I to do?

Growing Wariness, Not Weariness

For a time, I’ve been quiet about the country’s recent political turmoil, the commotion the scrapped ZTE-NBN deal has created in all aspects of the society, most especially when witnesses started showing up and spilling what dark knowledge they have about the shady, corrupt dealings involving the higher-ups in the government. The media has been covering the political events carefully and is trying to expose different angles that relate to it. There has been increased calls for the ouster of the president through rallies and even blogs (see one here and an “eager” one here). Masses were held to support the search for truth and for accountability and many civic groups are exerting effort to contribute, at least, financially to this search. People’s interest have been rising and there were more openly talking about it and its implication to our country’s situation today.
