KAYA MONG MAGING DAKILA

It’s been quite a while since I have not posted a blog. I was, however, touched by my friend’s message in her blog of a song by Noel Cabangon in You Tube, which is relevant to our present situation as a people and a country. Kaya Mong Maging Dakila by Noel Cabangon and the 46 Pilipino Artist who performed with him deserves to be heard, watched by all of us in the hope that the lyrics of the song  be  internalized by every PILIPINO, especially our leaders of today:YouTube Preview Image

Finally, a FILIPINO Medical Blog Grand Rounds!

theblogrounds.jpg

I’m so excited typing this introductory post (my heart is thump-a-thumping!) that I almost forgot that I’m mourning (but enough of that for now…).

So, FINALLY, a grand rounds of the best in the PHILIPPINE MEDICAL BLOGOSPHERE: THE BLOG ROUNDS!

I’ve spoken with Bone M.D. previously about how it would be nice if we were to have a medical blog carnival similar to the Grand Rounds in which I’ve participated for some time (see the post in which I’ve hosted the Grand Rounds or GR for the first time and the time when I got featured in the pre-rounds of Medscape). The Grand Rounds is a weekly blog carnival of medical posts, which could be centered around a certain theme or it could be non-themed and is hosted by different bloggers.

The Bane of the Anti-Arroyo Movement

Last week, Will of the blog Writer’s Block
asked me if the people in Cebu are 100% pro-GMA. I answered no, adding
that many believe the president is guilty of corruption. Likewise, many
actually find Lozada’s claim of irregularities in the NBN deal
credible. As to why not many are joining protests, I reasoned out that
people don’t see any viable alternative, not De Castro or anyone from
the trapo opposition. Likewise, talk of radical transitions don’t hold much traction.

I then concluded with a lame statement on the conservatism of my
province to account for this trend. I was supposed to write a rejoinder
correcting this last sweeping statement but my failing health and our
college’s final examinations period has caught up with me. I am thus
reposting Sir Bong Wenceslao’s Sun.Star column here. I echo many of his
views:

IT seems like the fashion of leaders in the recent wave
of protest actions against the Arroyo administration is to bash those
who refuse to join them in the streets. I say that there is both
arrogance and a failure to understand the sentiment of the many to this
act. This is the reason why despite the onslaught the Arroyo government
has survived.

Point and Shoot: Sexiest Petronas Tower Photos

I am proud to say and claim, as always, that these here might well be the sexiest Petronas Twin Towers photos that’s ever been taken using a point and shoot camera. To make the feat more awesome, may I just point out that these were taken from a camphone. Yes, that’s right. I only used a 5 Megapixel cam from a great phone.

I took these from the outside of the towers, obviously, but along that area where people go wait for cabs. I was lying down on the street at most times, without a care in the world, just to get the angles I want. Note, too, that I only used Photoshop on these for purposes of resizing, inserting my digimark, and blurring out some parts of the dark skies to even out the colors.

I have nothing to post today until my friend cycloid-y, asked me to watch these videos.

The Reason Why I’m Afraid to Have Guest Posting Here on PinoyBlogero.com

I have been receiving requests from fellow bloggers lately asking me if I could let them guest post here in PinoyBlogero.com. Although, I know that Guest posting has some benefits on the part of the Guest poster and the blog owner, I’m a little reluctant in having it on my blog.

For the past ten months, I have been posting content about the Pinoy blogosphere and the world of blogging based from my own experience and perspective. I reckon that my readers have already become accustomed to hearing my babble that they might not like it if somebody else suddenly jumps in and posts here on PinoyBlogero.

Why do I have such a thought? Well, you guys know CarlOcab.com? Yeah, the blog of the 13 Year Old Blogger. I used to be a frequent reader of his blog until he opened his blog up for guest posters. His blog was soon filled with guest posts and I never came back ever since.
