speak my mind.well..do we really need to change our leaders when there is something wrong with the way he manage this country?i mean..i think were the one who put president gma in this responsibilities of being a president.
ibig sabihin pa pg ayaw ntin ng leader na yun eh we have to eradicate him agad?i think were missing the point na tayo ang pumili sa kanya.and we have to take the consqequence of putting him into that position.
and about the zte scandal.ni reject nia nman ung offer ng deal di ba?so what’s the problem about that.di nman nanyare ung deal ah,?
you search for justice?truth?..i think youre searching for flaws, problems.you do not see the good side of things.ang gusto nio lng mkita eh ung mali.wla ng ginawang tama ung iba.
well.that’s what we are.we are filipinos after all..we want everything to be perfet.

Hi! I’m Jan Alvin of http://www.blogtambayan.blogspot.com.

History has proven how “people power” can become a potent force in bringing down a corrupt administration. When “people power I” successfully uprooted martial law, it has become known all over the world that in a democratic country like ours, people power can do great to oust an administration that has become unheedful to the clamors of the public and when it has gone beyond the boundaries of trustworthiness set by the law of the land.
“Public office is a public trust.” Therefore, as chosen by the commonalty to manage the purse strings of government, public officials are expected of trustworthiness and loyalty to the people and to the constitution, barring aside private interests and doing their job to protect the interest of the public.
After people power I, people power II came next when President Estrada”s administration was toppled down due to rampant graft and corruption and plunder case. For the second time in history, Filipinos went out to walk on the street armed with streamers and posters calling for the Estrada’s resignation due to betrayal of public trust.
History might repeat itself . Now that President GMA’s administration is stormed with issues of gross corruption: the “Hello Garci controversy and the latest ZTE Broadband deal, to name a few, people power might takes place once again to overthrow PGMA.
Well, this is the essence of democracy. When people become unsatisfied with the performance of public officials, they will make do of every means in order to effect changes.
Undoubtedly, the status quo of the present administration may trigger people power III as rallies for GMA’s resignation are being held. When ZTE Broadband deal star witness Jun Lozada appeared before Senate to divulge the alleged irregularities behind the controversial contract that the government has been into with China’s ZTE Corporation, rumors about a budding EDSA III has become unending.
However, the idea of another people power is no longer appealing to me. In fact, I don’t think people power is the best tool we can use in order to screw up PGMA from office. I have observed that there are masterminds behind these rallies that have been held- private individuals who are craving for the highest position of the land, those who could no longer bear the drudgery of waiting till comes 2010 presidential election. These individuals want immediate result and only the Filipino people through the so-called EDSA revolution can bring it out.
The dignity of people power has been spoiled by those whose self-interests are deemed most important than public interest, that’s why I say that it can no longer be as effective in effectuating changes as it has been during its first enunciation.
Undeniably, it is nice that we can broach out our sentiments through rallies when we are motivated by our heart and mind. As Filipino citizens, we have the absolute right and freedom to speak. But when we get out and support rallies because we get paid by private individuals, that’s another story already.
We have the constitution and let due process of law take its place in squeezing the truth of these allegations that are hurled against GMA. And we just hope that those who have first hand knowledge about malfunctions in government need to speak on behalf of the Filipino citizen and should come out in order to end this political crisis that besieges our social and economic stability. And hopefully, those who are joining the rallies are merely compelled by their conscience and their desire to really know the truth and not because they get paid. Let us not sell our right and freedom to express what we have in our hearts. MAGPAKATOO TAYO!
OK YAN! Magpakatotoo lang tayo. Some of you maybe young enough to know what others has been through to stand for what you think is right . Those who stood in the past in their younger days because they care for your future admires you. Many of those you despise were actually part of the past . . . our forefathers . . . friends and foe alike . . . yet, bothered . . . but, deep in their hearts they knew that past. Because they fought for truth and justice to prevail in the past. Are they, we being used? Do we stand in the the right foot where others already have theirs and let others exp[lain things that only they knew of? Naku! Wawa naman iba sana sila-sila na lang mag delcide na kung ano ba talaga rather than madamay iba.
Even the government is espousing for th truth, but will those who is espousing the truth knew what is really the truth? Ano ba talaga Kuya? Bakkit tayo pinanahirapan nila?
