Making friends

I was taken aback (in a good way) the other day when my 4-year old came up to me and told me… “Mommy, its my classmate’s birthday tomorrow. Can you please give me money so I can buy a gift for her?†It wasn’t so much that he has learned to ask for money but that he is asking money to buy something for another person.
