Easter
If you are wondering where the Easter bunny and Easter eggs came from, well it is a symbol representing the gods of the spring and fertility passed on from generations to generations.
According to holidays.net,  the name Easter is thought to come from the Scandinavian “Ostra” and the Teutonic “Ostern” or “Eastre,” both goddesses of mythology signifying spring and fertility. Traditions associated with the festival survive in the Easter rabbit, a symbol of fertility, and in colored easter eggs painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring.

The Blog Readership Index Project
Hey guys.
It’s Mikko again on a new project, the Blog Readership Index Project. Hope you’ll participate. ![]()
Here’s an excerpt from the project’s home (I created it anyway):
What is Blog Readership Index?
Overview
Graphs, graphs and graphs.
Isn’t it lovely to see the Philippine Stock Exchange Index rise and fall? How about making one for blogs? Let me call it the Blog Readership Index.
Yes, again I’m starting a new project. I’ve coded the backend’s core, frontend’s not finished.
Blog Readership Index aims to be a good measure of blog readership. It aims to track the growth or decline in blog readership levels.
The Blog Readership Index won’t have a maximum value. As long as your readership rises, your index will continually rise without limits.
Big G gave my pagerank back

My site was one of those affected by the Google tsunami that swept a lot of websites page rank last December 2007. I was uber mad about it. Imagine that instant my site went from PR4 to PR0 after the wave! Not even a gradual reduction like some other blogs have experienced. Wattah! At first I become uneasy, but since I’m not the only one affected with the wrath of Googel, I said to myself “blog goes on, with or without pagerank“.

Fabio Petroni Bangs His Head Against Pool Table!

Rounded off all the info i could find on what happened with Italian pool player Fabio Petroni as he was playing against 2004 US Open Champion Gabe Owen in the very first match of the Super Billiards Expo in Pennsylvania.
Fabio did not like the way he hit a ball and proceeded to bang his head as hard as he could on the pool table – banged it as hard as a hammer! Blood began to gush out! And i kid you not!

Top Pinoy Blogs According to Alexa
We’d like to thanks vaes9 for including PBS in the list.
Â
I got curious as to which Pinoy blogs have the highest traffic according to Alexa.
So, I manually compiled a list of the top Pinoy blogs according to Alexa using the two sites above, and Ratified.org, Janette’s list of top Pinoy blogs according to Blog Juice, and a few other lists, as a source of blogs to check.
See the result at Top Pinoy Blogs According to Alexa.
Join Big Bang.
I wonder if anybody knows about the Big Bang. No, it isn’t the lesson your science teacher is talking about. If you haven’t heard it yet, find out what is this all about.
PinoyTopBlogs Rebranded as TopBlogs.com.ph

PinoyTopBlogs, the number one Pinoy Blog Top Site of the Pinoy Blogosphere until it was taken down by the owner, Abe Olandres, has now been relaunched by the new owner, Enthropia Philippines, as TopBlogs.com.ph.
The site was going through some amazing growth, but the existing system could no longer cope with all the traffic… We have re-written the entire system from the ground up. Also – instead of tracking clicks, we now track unique visitors – the best measurement in seeing how popular your blog really is.
The reconstruction of the PinoyTopBlogs’ system took Enthropia Philippines almost six months before it was reopened to the public.
