blog of a Filipina caffeine addict

I am a 30-something corporate slave kept alive by a steady stream of instant, brewed or flavored coffee.

I am also a frustrated writer and have a penchant for unloading on my poor friends. To prevent them from having a nervous breakdown as result of sponging on my miseries, I started blogging.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to everyone in the Pinoy Blogosphere! Today is the most important Festivity for the Catholic Nation and all the Christians around the world. This is the day  our Lord Jesus Christ thriumped against death and delivered us from our sins.

How do we celebrate Easter? I’m sure others will do egg-hunting. That’s not bad. But let us also give Easter Sunday a deeper meaning by fulfilling our obligations to the Lord. In our country we spend too much to celebrate Christmas in December, in that time of the year the churches are filled with devotees, while the Christmas in Easter seemed to just like a normal day for catholics. But the fact is Easter is the real Christmas, this is the time the Lord promised us His Kingdom.

So this day let us take time to go to church, thank the Lord for saving us, and giving us th assurance that we shall be saved by our faith to Him.

Another way we can celebrate Easter is by forgiving our enemies and asking the Lord to forgive us.

So to everyone have a Happy Easter!

Good news. Classes in Mapua are already finished which means I’ll now have more time to concentrate on PinoyBlogero.com and on the new blog that I am planning to build. Anyways, here are some interesting articles and events that happened in the Pinoy blogosphere throughout the whole week:

Must Reads

  • Basapa shares his reasons on why PinoyTopBlogs is not for everybody. He says that it is system that is only for those who choose to be ranked. After reading his article, I’d say that I agree.
  • Wondering who made money off Pacquiao and Marquez’s fight? Aside from those bloggers who optimized the keyword (like me), PinoyMoneyTalk says that there are other people who earned money from the rematch.
  • Want to learn Search Engine Optimization? There’s a collection of free SEO video tutorials over at BloggingMix which is a must watch for those who want to get more traffic from search engines.

Fourteen Years After My Grandma’s Death

Fourteen years ago today, I experienced one of the most painful moments in my life. My grandmother’s sudden death shocked the whole family, our neighbors, and relatives. She was at the hospital to visit her physician and had high hopes to get better after several days of not feeling well. Everything happened so fast that even my grandfather who accompanied her was not able to prepare for the inevitable. She didn’t even know that that day was going to be her last. I was 14 years old when this happened. I didn’t… Read the full story
