Do Not Bring Us to The Test

That was just a line from the Lord’s Prayer (modern version).

I had an interesting sermon from a visitor priest in one of the churches that I regularly visit. There was an interesting snippet that I liked remembering.

On my own words, he said that:

A person’s way of thinking about every other bad thing that happens to them is the testing of the Lord is actually bad thinking… The line in the Lord’s Prayer: ‘Do not bring us to the test,’ means that we don’t want any testing or any humps on the way by God.

If God is so understanding then why? Why do we blame him for all the bad stuff and say it’s a tests though in the churches we don’t want any?
